Yummy Mooncakes From Friends

The Mooncake Festival was celebrated last week on the 4th September. Even though we do not celebrate the festival, we do enjoy eating mooncakes. We have not been buying mooncakes for many years since our sons left home to work in another state. The price of mooncakes have been steadily increasing from year to year.
One evening before the festival, I received this box from my neighbour.
There were 2 mooncakes inside the box.
Mooncake with mixed nuts and fruits filling.
This is how it looks like inside.
I love this because I love to chew on the nuts.
Mooncake with lotus seeds paste and single salted egg yolk.
This is how it looks like inside.
These mooncakes are not very sweet and just nice for us.
We also received these homemade jelly mooncakes from another neighbour.
These are natural colouring from blue pea flowers and pandan leaves.
This is how the jelly mooncakes look like inside.
And I received the above 2 boxes from a friend last month.
Inside were these 2 cute piglet mooncakes, too cute to cut and eat!
She also gave me 2 Shanghai mooncakes which I have no photos to show.
To my friend and neighbours, thank you for your yummy gifts!

From: Paul, Silas, and Timothy.
To: The church at Thessalonica -
to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
May blessing and peace of heart be your rich gifts from
God our Father and from Jesus Christ our Lord.

  24. Homemade jelly mooncake is unique. I received 2 last year. Not this year from a neighbour.

Did managed to taste jelly mooncakes and other sort of mooncakes in my church's mooncake festival gathering.
