Dinner Again At Restoran Makanan Laut Old Man, Ipoh.

When we enjoyed the first meal, naturally we will go back for the second meal. Our second dinner happened to fall on the eve of Malaysia Day celebration. This round, we decided to order something different from what we had previously.
Double steamed coconut chicken soup will be great on a cool, wet night.
Chicken and dried Chinese herbs soup steamed in an old coconut together with the coconut flesh @ MYR 22.
This is the amount when the soup and content was poured out into a big bowl. The soup was thick and sweet, very rich in flavour. Each of us get to enjoy a small bowl of this nutritious soup.
They make their own bbq pork, served with some vegetable salad and thick bbq sauce @ MYR 13.
Stinky beans with minced meat with sambal belacan @ MYR 15.
Sweet potato leaves with sambal belacan @ MYR 8.
Total cost of dinner for 4 people = MYR 63.20.

  10. Having soup in a coconut looks unusual to me but some of the foods that you eat is unusual to me. I bet that some of the foods that I eat every day must be unusual to you also. That's why it's exciting to see from my perspective.

  12. I wish I could try this soup! It looks delicious, and cooking it in the actual coconut must make it taste so good! This must be some fancy and expensive housing development! Their big sculpture looks so pretty against the beautiful sky.
