Air Itam Assam Laksa & Ah Leng Char Koay Teow In Penang.

After the desserts, it was still too early to check into the hotel, so we drove to Air Itam for assam laksa.
Just in time to take a snapshot of the soldiers and army truck before it got out of sight.
A very sporting and smiling uncle cooking the assam laksa.
We were one of the early birds.
We ordered 3 bowls of assam laksa for 6 people.
After laksa, we drove up to Balik Pulau.
Saw this and just took a snapshot.
Stayed awhile to enjoy the view of Penang island from above.
From here, we continued on our foodie trail to the next foodie station.
A quick snapshot of this wall mural from a moving car.
That is why I always have the mobile phone ready in my hand.
We introduced this popular char koay teow or fried flat rice noodle stall to our friends. Just look at the stack of plates queuing up before our order. We ordered 3 plates for 6 people to share.
We were seated next to the rice stall and my nostril picked up the nice savoury smell of the salted vegetable soup. It smelled so good, I had to ordered a bowl for the group to taste. Yummy!
We waited about half an hour for these 3 plates of these Penang char koay teow. There were 2 big fresh prawns, egg, and some cockles.
Hubby and I shared this plate of char koay teow.

The following pictures from my garden are for joining Saturday's Critters.
A baby grasshopper found resting on my yellow Hibiscus flower.
It didn't fly away even when I went closer to take this snapshot.
Another garden pest found on this yellow fellow.
This snail is one great climber.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

Who may climb the mountain of the Lord
and enter where he lives?
Who may stand before the Lord?
Only those with pure hands and hearts,
who do not practice dishonesty and lying.
They will receive God's own goodness as their blessing from him,
planted in their lives by God himself, their Savior.
(Psalm 24:3-5, The Living Bible-TLB)

  8. Such a pretty little grasshopper, it's sad that we have to get them out of our yards.

There's so much great food in this world, and so little time or room in our stomachs!
