From Taking Photos To Eating Desserts And Teochew Kuih, Penang.

As we were walking to our car along Lebuh Melayu, something attracted a friend and he stopped to take a look. We wondered what it was and we too crossed over to the other side to satisfy our curiosity.
It was a Cafe selling desserts and our friend was looking through the menu display at the front of the cafe. I was interested in this piece of art on the wall and we started taking snapshots.
One for the ablum.
We looked inside the cafe and there were more interesting things to see and we can't just simply go in and take snapshots and leave. So, that was how we ended up ordering some desserts to try.
While waiting for the desserts to be served, our mobile phone cameras got busy.
Great time for taking snapshots because there were not many customers at that time.
 Plants and decorations
Paintings on the wall, decorations with drift woods and old stuffs.
 Wall mural
Continuation of the above wall mural.
Decorations hanging from above.
Plants, rattan baskets, etc. used for decoration.
Decorations hanging from the wooden ceiling.
 Nice wooden stairs with railings.
Rattan trays and painting on the wall.
Antique items on display including the Teochew kuih moulds.
Abacus calculating tool and ink brush set on the right.
 A Chinese painting.
 A wooden chair.
This was the type of chair we sat on during our school days.
 Our desserts were served.
Black glutinous rice sweet porride on the left. Sweet potatoes sweet drink on the right. Both were loaded with ingredients.
3 pieces of Chives kuih or dumplings for sharing.
2 pieces of Teochew kuih or dumplings for sharing.
If you enjoy these types of desserts, this is worth a visit.
A steamer over a gas stove.
 A ceramic vase
A bamboo stool that acts as a baby chair when it is turned on its side.
We passed by the above notice as we were walking to our car.
This photo was taken on one of our earlier visits to Penang.
