Steamed Chinese Sausage, Waxed Duck Leg & Fried Fish Paste For Dinner.

When it rained, we find relief from the hot weather. After last evening's rain, this morning we could feel the cool breeze when we did out morning walking rounds.
Expecting another hot day from the look of the sun at 7:45 am.
 7:55 am
The current temperature is 31 deg C at 12:45 pm.
 7:58 am
 8:05 am
The dark speck in the sky is a bird.
The sun was peeping from behind the cloud.
Dancing Lady orchid from my garden.

Even though lazy to cook, I need to cook to clear the stock in my fridge.
Steamed Chinese sausage, waxed duck thigh and arrowheads (nga ku). The arrowheads were placed at the bottom to absorb the oil from the sausages and wax duck thigh.
 Fried fish paste.
Stir fried Chinese kai lan veggie with some fried fish paste slices, ginger slices, garlic, egg, oyster sauce, Chinese cooking wine and etc.
 Steamed Basmati rice.
A simple home cooked dinner. Filling and satisfying dinner for 2 persons.

The Lord lifts the fallen and those bent beneath their loads.
The eyes of all mankind look up to you for help;
you give them their food as they need it.
You constantly satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.
(Psalm 145:14-16, The Living Bible-TLB)

  2. Nice dinner! I am sure both of you could not finish all the waxed sausage and waxed duck thigh and the fried fish paste in one sitting. The waxed duck thigh should be very tasty if it is not very, very hard.

    1. You are right, Mun! We only finished the veggie dish. We kept half of the sausage, waxed duck and the fried fish paste for the next meal.

  7. That's definitely a satisfying meal!

I can't bring myself to eat waxed duck haha. Even though I like Chinese sausage which essentially has the same 'wax smell'.

  11. Love that little yellow orchid - so delicate! I would enjoy the vegetables especially as you've included ginger and a delicious sounding dressing. Goes well with the basmati rice which is my favourite type of rice. Wishing you a good day!
