After a week of hot humid weather, we woke up to a cloudy day. Appreciated the 2 day's heavy downpour to cool down the temperature.

I received a phone call in the late afternoon from a friend inviting us to their house for a home cooked dinner. Dinner will be ready at 6:30 pm. We were served the following dishes for dinner.
Chicken cooked with young ginger and leek.
Stinky beans cooked with minced meat and sambal belacan.
Fried fish (don't know the name of this fish)
Hubby and I shared this fish.
3 types of eggs to accommodate her grandchildren.
Left: Egg omelette with crab rolls. Top right: Egg omelette with big onions.
Bottom right: Steamed eggs with water.
Mixed vegetables
Old cucumber soup
A very satisfying dinner cooked for 11 adults.
A pre-war shop building caught fire yesterday evening. This is about 4 plus kilometre away from our place. So far having received any update. Hope the fire didn't spread to the neighbouring shops and that no one is hurt.
