Yesterday, 92nd day MCO
It was a rainy morning, so we didn't go for our morning walk.
About 7:10 am, we were in our car driving out to town with the above stainless steel food carriers to buy breakfast. We had 2 food stalls in mind, either one will do.
The first place we went to, Kedai Kopi YW, was opened for business. We placed our order and the waiting time was not long. Before MCO, the shortest waiting time was 30 minutes.
We bought Chili pan mee (dry version), served with minced meat, wood fungus, mushrooms, crispy fried anchovies and spicy chili oil.
Accompanying the chili pan mee is green veggie in clear soup.
Delicious and satisfying breakfast for 2 people.
From a different stall at the same coffee shop, I bought 2 curry puffs and sponge cake. We ate the curry puffs for our lunch.
I managed to pluck this fig before the birds could get to it.
Even though not fully ripe, it was slightly sweet and nice to eat.

Simple dinner
Out of the blue, I was craving for fried tom yum noodle. I used whatever ingredients I could find in the fridge to cook a big batch of fried tom yum noodle. We ate the 1st half portion for dinner and kept the 2nd half for next day's breakfast.
After dinner, we had Magnum ice cream for dessert.
Something that is sweet and cold to complete our dinner.
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.
(Proverbs 27:9, New Living Translation-NLT)
That Magnum ice-cream is so good! Here, I do not know of any food place where we can bring our own containers. But it is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteIf we do not bring along our own containers, the food will be packed in disposal containers or in plastics.
DeleteWow.. what a complete day meal! No time to feel hungry pun.. Thank God for that!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Claire. So how to diet and lose weight?
Delete...oh how I'd love a rainy day!
ReplyDeleteI love rainy days too as long as it is not a thunderstorm.
DeleteUwielbiam lody i figi. Wspaniały deszczowy poranel.

DeleteI cannot tahan spicy chili pan Mee. The chili oil looks very spicy. The fig looks tasty. Dinner of tomyum Mee Hoon sounds good too. I like soft soft Mee Hoon. Yummy magnum ice cream to round up the day. Is it mini magnum ic or normal size magnum ic?
ReplyDeleteThis one is normal size.
Deletewow...you went to coffee shop ....awesome.
ReplyDeleteLong time did not go to this kind of place.
We go to the coffee shops for our breakfast.
DeleteLooks like good food to eat. I would like to try curry puffs.
ReplyDeleteIt is one of my favourite snacks.
DeleteI observed usually breakfast you and your hubby would buy outside food and dinner would be homecooked and you always think of different dishes to cook, thumbs up! Blessed is your hubby.
ReplyDeleteThat is right, Libby. Seldom cook breakfast.
DeleteInteresante comida como siempre. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
DeleteI wouldn't normally want to wait very long for food, especially hawker-style. Sit-down meals at restaurants then only expect to wait a while since the food would be more elaborate.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind waiting if I really like the food.
DeleteIsn't it nice to get a craving and then find you have the ingredients in the house!
ReplyDeleteYes, at least the main ingredients.
