Crispy Peanuts + Anchovies Fritters & Clay Pot Chicken Rice

This was one particular Saturday. Our day started with a morning walk. But before that I took some snapshots of the morning sky.

7:08am
On the reverse side - 7:08am.
Sunrise at 7:25am
We received 6 Japanese Pearl eggs aka Sakura eggs from our neighbour.
I took out 4 eggs from the fridge and half boiled them for breakfast.
Hubby and I have 2 eggs each.
Spicy fried economy beehoon (RM2) from the roadside stall.
Breakfast for 2 people.
~~~~~
Lunch
We received the following items from our neighbour.
Nyonya kuih, fried sweet potato balls and a packet of crispy peanuts + anchovies fritters.
This is one of my favourite savoury snacks.
I heated up the remaining confinement soup from the previous night dinner and added cooked dried noodle to the soup for hubby's lunch.
~~~~~
I didn't cook that evening so we bought clay pot chicken rice.
We didn't order any vegetable dish, so I took out some of my home made pickled ginger to go with the rice.
Fresh papaya for dessert.
This was also given by our neighbour.
Pink Frangipani by the roadside.
I had one of this but have given it to a friend due to lack of space in my garden.

Yes, if you want better insight and discernment,
and are searching for them as you would
for lost money or hidden treasure,
then wisdom will be given you and knowledge of God himself;
you will soon learn the importance of reverence
for the Lord and of trusting him.
(Proverbs 2:3-5, The Living Bible-TLB)

  1. Did Sakura eggs taste different from the chicken eggs? Your neighbours are super nice, ain't they?

    1. I can't tell the difference. I was told that they are processed in clean and hygienic environment and fed with organic feed.

  2. Greetings and Salutations! Toss. Keep. or give away. It was so nice of you to give your neighbor a pink frangipani because of lack of space.

    1. Since someone is willing to adopt, it is better to give away instead of discarding the plant.

  5. I love red and pink frangipani. Bought one from the garden center for rm73 ten years ago. It is now growing outside our house. Which colour do you like? White, pink, red or yellow frangipani?

    1. I had yellow and deep pink frangipani given to me by my sister. They became too big in pots so I have to give them away to a friend who wanted to adopt them.

  25. The eggs are cute. I thought they were hard-boiled and peeled as they are shiny and clean.

    Those frangipanni trees, some have nice shapes for the trunks, some not. This was one of the plants I targeted to get when my house was new. Never got round to it though.

    1. Thank you, Stacy. Maybe that is the reason the eggs are call pearl eggs. One thing that discouraged me from growing this, especially this colour frangipani is that it tends to attract yellowish powdery pests under its leaves.
