Dim Sum Breakfast & Arrow Root With Peanut Soup For Dinner

 This was the 2nd Thursday of July.

Sunrise at 7am.
Setting out for our morning walk.
This bird on the tip of the branch (opposite my house) was happily and loudly chirping away.

~~~~~
We bought breakfast from the Dim Sum Restaurant.
Do you think we can finish all the above items?
First, we started on the glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaf.
Next, we ate the "lam yee" pau or steamed bun with pork belly.
Between these 2 above, we chose one.
We chose the yam puff. It is only nice to eat when the outer skin is still crispy.
We kept the above 2 items for lunch.
Steamed bun (san yuk pau) and chicken pie (kai soh).
Pretty chive flower from my garden.
Home cooked dinner
Soup: Arrowroot, peanut, carrot, red dates, goji berries and pork rib.
Stir fried broccoli and carrot with garlic and salt.
Fried egg for hubby and tuna with chili for me.
We accidentally bought this tuna with chili.
 Kept the leftover to make sandwich for next day's breakfast.
In every battle you will need faith as your shield
to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.
And you will need the helmet of salvation
and the sword of the Spirit - which is the Word of God.
  3. Have not had dim sum for a long long time now. There is a new place near my house - been thinking of going there to tapao back but everytime I changed my mind and decided to just #stayhome #staysafe #staywell No need to eat! Sighhh!!!
    1. It so happened we have one dim sum restaurant nearby within walking distance. Convenient to tapao on our way back from morning walk. No queue.
  4. After reading your post, I will go buy dim sum as takeaways one of these days. Look delicious! The pork belly pieces are so big inside the bao! Are the sang yuk bao and Kai soh enough for lunch for the two of you? The chives flowers are so pretty. Tasty dinner too especially the soup. Yummy! The soup you boil are always delicious because you put a lot of good ingredients in them.
  6. ...the only way to grow chives is in a pot, in the ground they will take over the place.
    1. I am glad I grow them in pots. Don't want them growing all over the place.
