My Tomato Plants Are Fruiting

I sowed the leftover tomato seeds and then I transferred the seedlings into pots.

To save space, I planted 2 seedlings in each pot.

I have altogether 4 pots,

Happy to see tiny tomatoes even though there are not many.

I must remember to wrap the tomatoes to prevent pest from destroying them.

I cooked something simple for dinner since we didn't want to eat rice.

Prawns and onion omelette.

Fried papadum.

Sambal belacan with lime juice.

Dinner without rice.

Fried Sardine + Pickled Mustard Green & Korean Luncheon Meat

I have a few home grown tomatoes in the fridge. Since they are home grown, I prefer to eat them raw.

I cut the chilled home grown tomatoes into wedges and drizzled Kewpie roasted sesame dressing on them.

The following were the canned food I used to prepare dinner. They were bought during MCO.

1 small can of fried sardine.

1 small can of pickled mustard green.

I poured the fried sardine into a small bowl. I took out the pickled mustard green and sliced it. I placed the sliced mustard green on top of the fried sardine. Before serving, I steamed it for a few minutes.

There was 1 can of Korean luncheon meat.

Steamed home grown long green okras and green brinjals (eggplants), topped with crunchy chili oil and sprinkling of soy sauce.

This was our dinner with plain brown rice porridge.

Now, I am happy to have cleared some of the canned food.

Braised Pork Belly Slices & Steamed Okra

The weather forecast warns of thunderstorm usually in the afternoon. Most times, there will be thunderstorm but usually in the late afternoon or evening. Our mornings are usually sunny and warm.

3 green brinjals (eggplants), 1 red okra (ladies finger) and 1 tomato.

No more worms in the tomatoes after wrapping them with recycle plastic bags.

This is the Grand Roma Round tomato.

Since the tomatoes ripen one or two at a time, I eat them raw, fresh from the garden.

Home cooked dinner for 2.

Initially, I wanted to make deep fried pork belly slices with the above braised pork belly. I changed my mind after frying a few pieces in the oil. The oil was splattering all over that I have to cover the pan. In the end, I steamed the pork belly slices and served with garlic crisp.

I used Thai sweet chili sauce as dipping sauce for the steamed pork belly. For the green, I steamed long green okra (ladies fingers) from my garden and topped with garlic oil and crunchy chili oil.

Home grown tomato to be eaten raw.

Love the fresh juicy and succulent thick flesh of the tomato.

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts,

living within you as you trust in him.

May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love;

and may you be able to feel and understand,

and to experience this love for yourselves,

Home Grown Vegetables, Tai Pau Or Steamed Big Bun

On one morning last week, I harvested the following from my garden.

A cucumber and a tomato.

4 small white bitter gourds.

The last batch of long beans from the dwarf long bean plants. I have pulled up the aging plants to free the pot for some other plants.

Can you see the spots on the small tomato? When I cut the tomato, there will tiny worms inside the tomato. I hope that by wrapping the remaining tomatoes with recycled plastic bags will save the tomatoes from worms.

My neighbour gave us 2 big buns (tai bao) which I re-steamed to heat up for our lunch.

Update on the arrowhead shoots.

Sad to say that the arrowheads have turned yellow and it was a failed project.

Simple home cooked dinner.

I added 2 white bitter gourds to the remaining portion of stewed duck.

1 dish dinner with steamed brown for hubby and I.

I forgot where I saw this cat. It was sunbathing on the tar road and not disturbed by my presence.

The following are photos of tomato plants growing in my garden.

This is Grand Roma Tomato Round.

The seeds were from the "Jom Tanam" packaging.

I grow these tomato plants in pots.

I have 4 pots of tomato plants with 2 plants in a pot.

The plants in one pot was not doing well, so I remove the plants.

Even though there are not many tomatoes, I am happy to see these few tomatoes on the plants.

This is the first time I have grown this type of tomatoes.

It is ripening.

So far, I have harvested 3 tomatoes from my garden and I ate them raw, fresh from the garden. I am looking forward to use some of the tomatoes for salad.
