Preliminary round: siew mai, prawn dumpling and steamed pork rib.
Steamed rice roll: chee cheong fun.
Big bun or tai bao.
Steamed glutinous rice or loh mai kai.
Fried salted egg, century egg, meat & pickled ginger roll.
Mayonnaise as dipping sauce.
Fried radish cake with egg and beansprout.
Thanks to our friends for this birthday treat for hubby.

But you must forever give thanks to God for you,
our brothers loved by the Lord,
because God chose from the very first to give you salvation,
cleansing you by the work of the Holy Spirit
and by your trusting in the Truth.

Dinner At Kopitiam Mun Soon, Taman Boon Bak, Ipoh

The 6 of us decided to drive to Taman Boon Bak for dinner at Kopitiam Mun Soon. The last time we had dinner here was about 4 months ago. Good thing we were ahead of the dinner crowd to be able to get a table for 6 people. We ordered the following dishes.

Signature pork rib
Roast pork with Chinese leek.
Yau Mak choy (in Cantonese) sauteed with fermented tofu (fu yee).
Steamed 3 eggs (chicken egg, century egg & salted egg).
Signature spicy sauce steamed Tilapia fish.
Total cost of dinner including rice and plain water = RM89.80
Pretty wild flowers by the roadside.
These are considered as weeds.
Sugar candy at Concubine Lane, Ipoh.
These snapshots were taken in November, 2015.
The seller has to use a small hammer and chisel to break the sugar candy.
As a kid we used to love this candy.
A young family at the sugar candy stall.
As far as I know, this could be the only sugar candy stall in Ipoh.

The person who has been born into God's family does not make
a practice of sinning because now God's life is in him;
so he can't keep on sinning, for this new life has been born
into him and controls him - he has been born again.

Lunch At HBR Cafe, Ipoh Garden

We were to meet up with friends at the chosen venue for breakfast. While we were on the way, our friend who reached earlier than us called to inform that the place was temporary closed. So we changed our venue to Restoran 1010 at Jalan Peh Kee Koh, Taman Kampar, Ipoh.

We have to sit at 2 separate tables because there was no big table to accommodate 4 people.
~~~~~
For lunch we were to meet at HBR Cafe at Ipoh Garden (next to Restoran 1919).
A friend ordered a set of toast and hot coffee.
Another friend who was in a rush ordered and was already eating her noodle when we arrived.
Hubby ordered dry curry chicken noodle.
I asked for their special and I was recommended the above Bao Loh Fun which is noodle (lai fun) with minced chicken meat, peanut, sliced carrot, Chinese pickled vegetable and sauce.
To add more oomph to the noodle, I added the chili sambal to the noodle. You can't get this unique and tasty noodle elsewhere.
I was seated facing the above decorations on the wall.
Jacob's Danone 2000's
One of my favourite is the above Jacob's Weetameal crackers.
This is a cute clock to have in the dining hall.
Go to work in the morning and
stick to it until evening without watching the clock.
You never know from moment to moment
how your work will turn out in the end.
