My friend informed me that she will be coming to pick me at 9.20 am. After my morning walk, I quickly watered my plants, took my bath and got ready for my friend.
After she picked me, she dropped her daughter at the college and then we went to pick up another 2 friends. Finally, after many suggestion, we all agreed on Kedai Kopi Sun Yuan Loong at Medan Bendahara 1, Ipoh.
Only one of us was very hungry. the rest had taken early breakfast and we just wanted a drink and nibble some light food. This place is known for its white coffee so I ordered a glass of iced coffee.
I ordered a small plate, 1 roll of savoury Chee Cheong Fun with minced meat and chopped preserved vegetable. Add some sprinkling of sesame seeds, crispy fried onions and onion oil, served with pickled green chili and chili sauce.
Small plate of flat Chee Cheong Fun (ccf) with dried shrimp, with sprinkling of sesame seeds, crispy fried onions and onion oil, served with pickled chili, sweet sauce and chili sauce.
2 pieces of Yam/Taro cake. Love the generous amount of yam in the cake. Topping of crushed peanuts, sesame and served with chili sauce.
After our brunch, stopped at a Pet's shop for a friend to buy dog food.
And I was busy taking photos of some of the pets in cages.
These are giant lizards and they have big pouch under their neck.
This big brown lizard has a big pouch hanging under its neck.
Smaller green lizards.
I was happy to see this beautiful parrot.
And I think it was happy to see me too.
It turned around and posed for my camera!
Looks like it is smiling too!
This colourful parrot was talking to me in a language I couldn't understand.
Thank you for posing for me.
Linking to Saturday's Critters & Wordless Wednesday
Well, my brothers, let's add up what I am saying.
When you meet together some will sing, another will teach,
or tell some special information God has given him,
or speak in an unknown language, or tell what someone else
is saying who is speaking in the unknown language,
but everything that is done must be useful to all,
and build them up in the Lord.

DeleteI find it sad that these animals are in cages, or chained up, when they should be living a life of freedom in the wild. Diane
ReplyDeleteThat's the reason why I avoid going to pet's shop.
DeleteWhat a pretty parrot!
ReplyDeleteAnd a very entertaining one too!
DeleteSuch a shame the parrot was chained, but it was lovely to see it.

DeleteVery nice series of photos Nancy. That parrot is beautiful. It sounds like it was raised in another country perhaps as it speaks a different language. I like the top two dishes in your post. I had some shrimp kind a few weeks ago and it was very good. Have a good rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joyful. Have a wonderful weekend!
Deletebeautiful post and my favorite....the colorful parrot..xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you, BJ. Have a blessed Sunday!
DeleteThose big lizards are iguanas. Green iguanas are an endangered species. I have never seen so many iguanas in pet shops here.
ReplyDeleteI wondered who would want to keep iguanas as pets....

Thank you, Karen. Ha ha I would love the parrot to say that to me!
DeleteMy thoughts as I read and scrolled, nice, what the hell, and then ok not too shabby
ReplyDeleteSorry about the pet shop and the condition of the cage. Its a pity that they are kept in these cages.
DeleteOh I love that kind of food too. I quickly scrolled through the animal pictures in case there were snakes hehe. Reached the end safely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stacy. If possible and if I can avoid it, I will not pose any snake photos here because I don't like snakes too!
DeleteThese narrow cages, chains on his feet .... sad it all
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It is very sad to see the animals in such state.
