Surviving Public Toilet Inconveniences.

I am sure we all have unpleasant experiences when using public toilets and we will try our very best to avoid using public toilets. Of course, there are public toilets that are clean and we enjoyed the convenience of using these clean toilets. But, there are still many public toilets in our country that most people would not use unless there is an urgent need or an emergency nature call.

There were times when I really could not hold it any longer and I really have no choice but to use the only toilet available. The sight and stench was terrible and there was no water to splash or to clean the mess. I had no choice but to try to hold my breath as long as possible. Sometimes, there are toilets without any toilet tissue and the water hose is just left lying on the wet and dirty floor.

If I have to use public toilet, I prefer to use the squatting ones than the sitting toilets. Sometimes, I will find shoe prints on the toilet seat! There are also times when the toilet doors do not have a latch to lock the door!

When I was asked whether I will be interested to join the "Kleenex Survive The Public Toilet Blogger Program", I immediately agreed because I was curious about the program.
Yesterday, Poslaju delivered a package to me. Inside the package was this plastic kit.
I found the above items inside the plastic kit.
There are 3 sample packs of Kleenex Wet Toilet Tissue.
Keep 1 or 2 packs of these Wet Toilet Tissue in our handbags or in your pockets (for men). These will come in very handy when there is no toilet tissue or water available in the toilet.
The wet tissue is soft and smells fresh. These are safe to flush and hypoallergenic. These are also clean and gentle on the skin, leaving us feeling cleaner and fresher after use.
It is good to keep some of these plasters in our handbags. These will come in very handy in times of need.
These are very useful items to keep in our handbags. Some toilets have hangers on the toilet doors but have you heard of stories about handbags being hooked out from the toilet? With these hangers, we can stick one of this on the wall near to us to hang our handbags. Then we can go about our private business without having to keep an eye on our handbags.
And this last item is a face mask in case the stench is too strong for us. These items are small and light, very convenient to carry in our handbags.

Besides the above items, I always make sure I have ample supply of toilet tissue in my handbags. They are especially useful when I am forced to use a public sitting toilet. I use the tissue to cover the toilet seat so that I can seat on a clean surface.

Proper maintenance of public toilets is very important. But I feel that we as users of public toilets are also responsible for leaving them clean after using them. I am sure if everyone of us take it upon ourselves to clean up our own mess, not step on the seats, wipe up any spills and most of all to flush properly, then we will all be able to enjoy much better and cleaner public toilets in Malaysia.

If you are interest, you can request a free sample pack and participate in a simple quiz contest to win a year's supply of Kleenex Wet Toilet Tissues by registering at www.kleenexcleans.com.my. 2. That's a new one for me. Here in Canada, our public toilets are usually clean and I have never encountered any thing like what you have encountered. It's enough to make a person want to stay home. I know in the old countries it a normal occurrence.

  6. This is a very good idea. I'm glad some company has realized. Even here in North America where we have excellent toilets for the most part, there are still many places that are not so very clean and of course when I travel it is even worse. I too carry extra tissues in my purse and sometimes the handy (wet) wipes. I should look for a hook for my bag as I hate to put it on the floor. Even the toilets are missing hooks and sometimes in certain places, someone can grab the bag from on top (over the door) so I like to keep my bag close to me.

    1. That's why I usually carry a big bag to keep all the necessities when travelling. Not a good and healthy idea to place our bags on the toilet floor.

    1. When on holidays, I try my best to do my business the first thing in the morning and drink less water until I return back to the hotel. Not a good practice but just to avoid visiting unpleasant toilets.

  13. our public restrooms are generally NOT clean and i avoid using them at all costs. they do make plastic, disposable covers, that cover the entire toilet and spin automatically after each flush. it's a great idea but i have only seen them in use once. i would have to assume the system is expensive but it is very sanitary!!!!

    1. It depends on the location of the public toilets. Some are generally very clean and pleasant to use but some very unpleasant to use.

  14. That is a good package! The mask and plasters are funny. The hook for handbag will be very convenient. Thought I guess won't help for very-heavy bags.

    1. Thank you, Stacy. At least the kit gave us an idea of what to keep in our handbag. Most important are toilet tissue and wet tissue.
