Curry Noodles At Kedai Kopi Keng Nam, Ipoh.

I found a folder with food photos from Kedai Kopi Keng Nam, Ipoh. It is located at 127, Jalan Raja Ekram, Kampung Jawa, Ipoh. This coffee shop is known for its curry noodles. I first tasted this curry noodles way back in 1980 when I was transferred back from Kuala Lumpur to work in Ipoh. At that time, this stall was among many other stalls along the roadside. Later this stall shifted into a nearby coffee shop and has been there till now.

My ex-colleagues and I love the curry noodles and the glutinous rice. There are 2 version of glutinous rice. One is the white glutinous rice served with kaya (coconut jam). The other was the yellow glutinous rice with chicken curry. It has been a long time since we last ate the glutinous rice. It was end of last year when hubby and I came here for the curry noodles.
My bowl of curry noodle. It was yellow noodle with pieces of chicken, roasted pork and bbq pork in curry soup.
Hubby's plate of curry noodle - dry version.
Hubby's iced black coffee and hot coffee for me - both unsweetened.
A very satisfying early morning breakfast.
For lunch, I had a craving for something sweet - an egg custard (below)
I love baked egg custard but can only enjoy it once in a while.

Because of God's tender mercy,
the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us,
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
and to guide us to the path of peace.

  1. A lovely sky. The curry noodles look so warming, delicious, and comforting. Especially on a hot day. We do not have this dish here, wish I could make it.
