We have passed by these roadside stalls many times but have never tried the food here. One fine day, our friend wanted to try some new place and remembered this roadside stall in Menglembu. There is a row of stalls near to the traffic light on the main road (near the wet market).
We saw 2 stalls opened for business. We decided to try the 1st stall, the one furthest from the traffic light because we saw more customers eating at the 1st one. But later, customers started to come for the 2nd stall and both stalls were enjoying brisk business.
We were served a big bowl of complimentary soup.
Daikon soup with 4 meat balls for 4 people.
We can request for refill of the soup.
Fish @ RM 24.00
Deep fried black pomfret fish with Nyonya assam sauce with veggie.
This is a very appetizing dish and great to be taken with white rice.
Veggie @ RM 9.00
Local Midin or bracken fern heads stir fried with spicy prawn paste.
Can you see the pieces of deep fried lard?
4 sets of chicken wings @ RM 14.00
Deep fried chicken wings marinated with prawn sauce.
Served with crackers, mayonnaise and chili sauce.
Stewed duck in clay pot @ RM 17.00
Another flavourful dish
Total cost of dinner for 4 people RM 67.70
(incl. rice and drinks)
You can see the cook at work (on the right side).
Open sitting space of the roadside stall.
Restoran Makanan Sembilan Tiga Dua, Menglembu.
Jalan Lee Ming Hin, Menglembu.
We will be back to try the 2nd stall soon.
There was a time when I wouldn't admit what a sinner I was.
But my dishonesty made me miserable and
filled my days with frustration.
All day and all night your hand was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water on a sunny day
until I finally admitted all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide them.
I said to myself, "I will confess them to the Lord."
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
(Psalm 32:3-5, The Living Bible-TLB)
