Sunday Brunch At Laksa Leaf Cafe, Canning Garden, Ipoh

Three Sundays ago after church, we had brunch at Laksa Leaf Cafe, in Canning Garden. When assam laksa is concerned, I am always interested.
It was about 11.15 am and the place looks very quiet.
When we walked in there was a table occupied by a young couple.
A nice lady welcomed us and showed us to a table.
Menu on the wall.
We were handed a menu. Hubby ordered blue rice with rendang chicken.
I took a while to decide whether I should order Nyonya curry or assam laksa.
I finally settled for assam laksa.
"Live Laugh Love"
While waiting for the food to be served, I took some snapshots from where I was seated.
 Welcome
Fold "ang pau" or red packet fans.
My bowl of assam laksa with 2 pieces of crispy bean curd rolls.
This set costs RM 13.00
Hubby's blue rice "nasi lemak" with chicken rendang.
This set costs RM 18.00
Delicious chicken rendang with blue rice (colour from blue pea flower).
This set includes a drink, hubby chose iced tea (teh-O) without sugar.
The assam laksa set includes a drink (hot tea-O) and a piece of cheese cake.
We didn't order this cendol ice.
Once they realized the mistake, they quickly took it away! Lol!
Total cost of lunch RM 31.00
This was near the payment counter.
While waiting for the change, I took this snapshot.

O Lord, you have reigned from prehistoric times,
from the everlasting past.
The mighty oceans thunder your praise.
You are mightier than all the breakers
pounding on the seashores of the world!
Your royal decrees cannot be changed.
Holiness is forever the keynote of your reign.
(Psalm 93:2-5, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. The packet fan is made from red packet envelopes, which we used to put in money during Chinese New year or special day to bless others.

  16. Oh not bad. I thought it the laksa was a bit pricey. But with the cheesecake it's good value.
