Attending A Wedding Ceremony & Dinner In Taiping

On the 21st December last year 2019 which was a Saturday, we drove to Taiping to attend a wedding ceremony and dinner. It usually takes about an hour's drive but on that day, it took about double the time to reach.
We didn't expect such heavy traffic when we entered the expressway. Fortunately, even though the traffic was heavy, at least it was moving but at a slower pace.
The weather was fine and not too hot for travelling.
As we neared the church, it rained. Thank God we found a space to park our car just opposite the church. We reached just in time before the wedding ceremony started.
The pastor blessing the newly married couple.
 The groom kissing the bride.
After the wedding ceremony, we had some time to spare before the dinner starts. We took a drive out to Taiping town.
As hubby drove, I took these photos.
Praying that it would not rain as we will be driving back to Ipoh after the dinner.
Sunset in Taiping, taken from a moving car.
On our way to the SS Traders Hotel, Taiping.
At the dinning table, I met an old classmate which I couldn't recognize.
Wedding dinner was held at the SSL Traders Hotel's ballroom.
The dinner started with 1) Traders Five Combination Platter
2) Braised Crab Meat Soup With Fish Lips
(sorry for the blur photo)
 3) Steamed Red Fish With Soy Sauce
4) Combination of Roast Chicken and Duck
 5) Deep Fried Prawns with Soy Sauce
 6) Fried Mixed Vegetables In Yam Ring
 7) Fried Rice With Salted Egg
The dinner ended with a sweet dessert 8) Sweetened Longan with White Fungus and Coconut Snow Cake (no photo to show).
After dinner, we thanked the host and excused ourselves.
Thank God for journey mercy and we reached home safely about 10 pm.

Christ also suffered.
He died once for the sins of all us guilty sinners
although he himself was innocent of any sin at any time,
that he might bring us safely home to God.
But though his body died, his spirit lived on, ...

  20. Traffic can be pretty bad during holidays. Luckily Taiping isn't that far away from Ipoh.
