It was a Sunday morning. It was the first Sunday we went back to church since the pandemic and movement control order. We were early, so before going to church, we went for breakfast at Yee Fatt Tea Shop for our favourite "messy" dry curry noodle.
After going through the SOP, such as using MySejahtera app to scan with our handphone and having our temperature taken, we got ourselves a table for 2 people. We ordered 2 black coffee without sugar.
For noodle, instead of ordering the usual chicken curry and bbp pork, I ordered koay teow which is flat rice noodle with bbq pork and roast pork with thick curry gravy. This is my type of delicious "messy" curry noodle.

The night before, a friend blessed us with 4 steamed buns which I kept in the fridge.
That afternoon, I took out the buns from the fridge and re-steamed them for lunch. The steamed buns with sambal stinky beans filling.
Very tasty stinky beans buns.

I didn't cook any new dishes because there was leftover tom yam soup from the previous day's dinner.
I added fish fillet and remaining pineapple to the leftover tom yam soup. The portion was enough for hubby and I.
I should cook tom yam soup more often because it is so delicious and appetizing.
My one and only pot of peace lily plants.
Have a Blessed Sunday.
When a man is trying to please God,
God makes even his worst enemies to be at peace with him.
(Proverbs 16:7, The Living Bible-TLB)
So appetizing! I love those steamed buns too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeleteUnfortunately, I only watch Mass on TV. In Poland, the epidemic has gained momentum. It wasn't that bad with us before.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about these stuffed buns :)
The situation here has not stabilized yet.
Deleteit's hard to find stinky beans bun in KL...unless DIY (home baked).
ReplyDeleteStinky buns are not easy to find here too.
DeleteSmaczne jedzenie i piękny kwiat. Miłej niedzieli:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lucyna.
DeleteBuns with stinky beans, something new to me. Your breakfast, lunch and dinner, all are spicy, did you notice?
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha...yes, now that you have mentioned. I do love spicy food and it is just coincidence that all 3 were spicy.
DeleteI bet it felt good to go to church...that is a beautiful Peace lily.
ReplyDeleteIt needs a bit of getting used to because of the sitting arrangement for social distancing and wearing of mask throughout the time in church.
Delete...everyone should have a peace lily!
ReplyDeleteMay peace be in us all.
DeleteI really wish I could reach through the screen for samples - yummy!
ReplyDeleteYes, Martha. That would be nice. Lol!
DeleteSpicy food are more tasty :)
ReplyDeleteYes, more appetizing too.

DeleteYour Tom yum seafood soup is so tasty! What fish slices are those? Fresh or frozen?
ReplyDeleteThose are frozen fish slices. Given by my neighbour and was told that it is a type of patin fish.
DeleteThe Steamed Buns look very interesting Nancy. Have a wonderful Sunday my friend.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul. Happy new week.
DeleteI love stuffed buns. It's been a while since I had them.
ReplyDeleteLately, we have been having buns quite regularly.
DeleteI am also yearning for tomyam... maybe one of these days, I will do too... put in more lemongrass and lime!
ReplyDeleteMore lemon grass and lime to get extra flavour.
DeleteAll looks good.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peace lily mine is only so small as yet.
Thank you, Margaret.
DeleteWow the thick curry sauce and generous garnishing of mint leaves gets top points. I haven't tried stinky bean in pows - not that keen to try either!
ReplyDeleteOh I saw that kind of frozen patin fish sold on Shopee.
Yes, special discount on Shopee on 11.11.
DeleteI would love to taste those stinky buns. Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteThey taste good to us. Take care and stay safe.
DeleteSo very interesting
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jo-Anne.
DeleteTodo se ve muy bueno. Un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
DeleteIt's nice to know you were able to go to church.
ReplyDeleteIt is also a good thing when there are enough leftover items to make another meal.
Leftover food saves us extra cooking time.
