Dinner At Restoran Hong Feng, Ipoh

Our friends who have eaten in this restaurant recommended it to us. We have been here once years ago and it was under a different management. This place is now under a new management and we thought we can give it a try on our Friday eat-out dinner with friends. We ordered the following for 4 people.

Braised mutton brisket in clay pot.
Spicy sambal stinky beans with minced meat.
Green veggie stir fried with fermented bean curd.
Tofu with thick sauce.
Total cost of dinner (incl. rice & water) = RM85.40
Free agar-agar dessert on the house.
~~~~~
Flowers I saw by the roadside on my morning walks.
Pretty yellow flowers from the Ochna serrulata (Micky Mouse plant).
Red petals and green berries from the same Ochna serrulata (Micky Mouse plant).
One morning when the sky was overcast, I noticed a bird right on top of this tree in front of my house and it was chirping away.
2 white egrets perched on a sign board by the roadside.
I took this snapshot from the passenger seat of a moving car.
The righteous keep moving forward,
and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.
  1. Seems the food is tangy. The snapshots of the flowers are pretty indeed. The take from a moving position is skillful.
    2. Looked up and this is what I found ".....plant's ripe black fruit, which upside down resembles the ears of Mickey Mouse, and bright-red sepals, which resembles his trousers....."
  5. Hello,
    Your meals look delicious! The flowering plant is beautiful. I love hearing the birds singing. They are usually in the tops of trees, not down low where you can see them better. Great capture of the Egrets on the sign. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
  8. Como en casa y hoy el menú, está compuesto por un caldo, que previamente saqué de cuando estaba elaborando un cocido. A ese caldo le agrego fiedeos, huevo duro picado y taquitos de jamón.
    De segundo pescado frito y de postre algo de fruta.
    Muy bonitas las fotografías.
    Besos
