Deep Fried Fish Slices, Bitter Melon Soup & Steamed Clams

I used the remaining two-third of the frozen fish that my neighbour gave to cook for two days' dinner.

In order to cover the "fishy" smell of the fish slices, I marinated the fish slices with salt, sugar, and curry powder. Just before deep frying, I tossed the fish slices with potato flour.

1st day's dinner
This was 1st day's dinner for 2 people.
Omelette.
Crispy on the outside.
Sweet and sourish Thai chili sauce dipping for the deep fried fish slices.
Karela or small bitter melon soup boiled with carrot, red dates, gojiberry and pork rib.
~~~~~
2nd day's dinner
There were leftover omelette and fried fish slices from the previous day's dinner.
Just add 1 new dish - Steamed clams.
Good that we were able to finish all the dishes without any wastage.
From my garden.
My calamansi plant is flowering again.
The flowers give off a nice fragrance and the bees are back again.
I don't know what type of bees but they are small in size.
Dead flies will cause even a bottle of perfume to stink!
Yes, a small mistake can outweigh much wisdom and honor.
    2. I know but with delicious foods like you posted the quiet Christmas can be managed indoors.
  9. While i like curry, my Sweetie does not, so we always soak fish (when we have it) in milk and mustard. Now i will wonder if your way works better.
    Such lovely garden shots!
  12. Normally when my mom cooks, it is usually one homecooked soup and one main dish. I justt had daikon soup yesterday. Your homecooked soup and dishes look good, got clams some more.
    1. Yes, they are different. One has a bitter taste, and winter melon does not have bitter taste.
    Yes, the bee you captured sure is tiny! I've never seen one that little before but I'm glad they have a place to feed.
    Thanks for sharing your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
