Black Vinegar Pork Trotter, Sambal Stinky Bean & Fried Fish

On this particular morning, there was no sunrise to greet me when we started out on our morning walk.

The birds were early - 7:05am.
I managed to capture some flying over me.
Overcast sky - 8:30am.
I was bored with noodles, so I cooked oat porridge for myself.
I added 2 long ladies fingers into the porridge.
Then I sprinkled some dried shrimp chili onto the oat porridge.
I like this dried shrimp chili.
White frangipani by the roadside near my house.

Dinner
Fried fish, 2 slices.
Home grown angled luffa cooked with garlic, ginger strips, dried shrimps and egg.
Reheated a small portion of black vinegar pork trotter that was kept in the fridge.
Even though our neighbour don't eat stinky beans, they bought some for us when they went out to buy dinner for themselves.
Someone very happy because sambal stinky beans and black vinegar are his favourites.

And remember that your heavenly Father
to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges.
He will judge you with perfect justice for everything you do;
so act in reverent fear of him from now on until you get to heaven.

  5. Very nice dinner! So thoughtful of your neighbours to buy the stinky beans dish for you all though they don't eat it. I love your oats porridge. Can put all sorts of savoury condiments on it and also like congee, can eat it with century eggs or salted eggs. Have you tried eating oats porridge with salted or century eggs?

    1. No, I haven't tried with century egg but yes, I have tried with salted egg when I once ate oat porridge for dinner.

  6. Your food is always so interesting, and so different to ours here. Oats here are usually served with cream and sugar. That fish looks delicious, too. Have a great day, Valerie
