Fish Noodle & Assam Laksa

This was last Thursday. We were ready to start our morning walk.

Morning sky at 6:59am
I took a snapshot of my Bauhinia Kockiana blooms in the early morning light.
Sunrise at 7:22am.
We returned home from morning walk and drove out to buy breakfast.
We went to our regular coffee shop to buy fish noodle with wine.
This is half the portion of the fish noodle with 1 siew mai.
1 portion is RM8.50
Add on 8 pieces of fried ingredients.
This is my half portion with bird's eye chili added for extra kick.

Lunch
About 12pm, we drove out to collect 2 packets of assam laksa for our lunch. We pre-ordered the laksa the day before.
Delicious assam laksa @ RM6.
~~~~~
We bought dinner from an Indian stall.
I ordered fried noodle with sambal added.
This was the last portion.
Hubby ordered 1 chapati but the boss thought he ordered 2 pieces.
Sambal from the "ayam masak merah".
Hubby's ordered chicken varuval, rich in spices and flavour.
It was a no cooking day for me.
Good salt is worthless if it loses its saltiness;
it can't season anything.
So don't lose your flavor!
Live in peace with each other.
    Wine for breakfast?! Wow. I´d go straight back to sleep ;-)
    You live in a funny place. (Reckon the alcohol got cooked away?)
    The food looks so exotic and yummy again!
    Can you invent beaming? I´d like to pay a visit... for your weather, flowers and food and certainly... to meet you in person.
    1. No worry, we won't get high or drunk with the wine in the noodle because it is very mild. It won't make me feel like sleeping. I do wish I can beam our food directly onto your dining table. That would be wonderful. It would be great if we can meet and introduce to you all our exotic food to you. Enjoy your weekend.
  5. I see all your food and I feel very full like I have eaten them already. All very tasty food but I only need to eat Max 3 tablespoonfuls from each. No bird eye chili for me. Cannot stand spicy. Where did you order your Assam laksa from? A home cook or regular stall?
  6. Fish noodles, assam laksa, fried noodles with sambal, chicken varuval...all look good. If I can buy such nice stuff in my neighourhood, we would not bother cooking our own!
  7. Beautiful blooms. Since hubby transferred to other place to work, I don't do morning walks. Lazy to go out alone. So more cooking for breakfast at home now since I don't have kaki makan.
    Love your fish noodle soup. Sure nice to take in the morning.
  12. You know Nancy, I smile when I see what you have for breakfast and I think what I had for had for breakfast this morning, 1 piece of toast on chunky peanut butter & grape jelly with slices of orange. Our worlds are totally different, isn't it? That's why I enjoy checking in on your blog. Wonderful.
    The meals you show us are very tasty. Is it common there to buy food made outside the home?
