While waiting for the sky to brighten up, I went out to sweep the porch area before starting on our morning walk.
Dawn at 6:42am.
I heard birds singing...
There they were on the branches.....
Sunlight and mist on the hills...
Can you see the moon above the sun?
Bright rising sun at 7:20am.
On the reverse side, mist covering Kledang Hill at 8:57am.
We have not eaten this beef soup and beef noodle for months. We heard from our friends that the stall has shifted. We drove all the way to Bercham and found the new location. Bought 1 portion beef soup and 1 portion fried beef noodle.
Beef soup consisting of tendon, tripe and meat @ RM8.50
1 portion fried beef noodle @ RM7 (or was it RM7.50?)

From my garden.
My air plants are flowering.
I have yet to separate them from the mother plant.
Almost mid-day sky at 11:41am.
Our home cooked dinner.
Boiled baby yam, drizzled with garlic oil, soy sauce and some chili dried shrimp.
These baby yams are usually available near mid-autumn festival.
I ate these in place of rice.
Pan fried soy sauce prawns with home grown spring onion.
Old fashioned dressing table and wash basin.
After washing their feet he (Jesus) put on his robe again
and sat down and asked, "Do you understand what I was doing?
You call me 'Master' and 'Lord,' and you do well to say it,
for it is true. And since I, the Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet.
I have given you an example to follow:
do as I have done to you.
(John 13:12-15, The Living Bible-TLB)

DeleteOh, I love those small yams too! Last time when young, we used to eat them with sugar.. hahaha... nowadays of course, we cut down on the sweet.. so you found a new beef noodle stall... next time, we go!
ReplyDeleteYes, the new place is more comfortable. By then, hopefully we can dine in.
DeleteThe prawns look nice. The trees are pretty in the morning and that basin, I do believe my grandparents had one like that before I was born..
ReplyDeleteI remember we were still using the basin when I was a kid.

DeleteSun and moon, wow.
ReplyDeleteThe beef fried noodle looks yummy.
Never heard of air plants, this is all so exotic to me.
And such a beautiful wash basin!
Thank you, Iris. This is the first and only air plant I have.
DeleteThank you, Francisco.
ReplyDeleteI love to eat baby yams. Long time didn't eat them already. love the beef tendons too, so much! So tasty. Your air plants are growing very well. How long have it been since you started keeping the air plants? Any tips to keep them growing as well as you have done cos my friend's air plants keep dying.
ReplyDeleteI bought this air plant slightly more than 3 years ago. I hang the plant under my side porch. It has plenty of light but away from direct sunlight. Every morning, I will just spray it with water as I watered my plants.
DeleteLovely sky photos. It was misty when I got to work last Sat. Thick fog in some spots on Sunday. It rained most of Tues til late afternoon. Your food looks delicious! My husband doesn't like cilantro too much but he likes spicer food than me. I need to make bar cookies today. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grandma Beckyl. We love spicy food too. Bar cookies sounds good and yummy. Have a good day too.

ReplyDeleteThank you, William.
DeleteI thought the boiled yam were meatballs at first. Interesting way of serving them. I've only had them dipped in sugar before.
ReplyDeleteThis was taught to me by my father-in-law. Before that I too used to dip in sugar.
DeleteLas fotos del amanecer son muy bonitas. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
