Beef Soup & Beef Noodle, Baby Yam & Soy Sauce Prawns

While waiting for the sky to brighten up, I went out to sweep the porch area before starting on our morning walk.

Dawn at 6:42am.
I heard birds singing...
There they were on the branches.....
Sunlight and mist on the hills...
Can you see the moon above the sun?
Bright rising sun at 7:20am.
On the reverse side, mist covering Kledang Hill at 8:57am.
We have not eaten this beef soup and beef noodle for months. We heard from our friends that the stall has shifted. We drove all the way to Bercham and found the new location. Bought 1 portion beef soup and 1 portion fried beef noodle.
Beef soup consisting of tendon, tripe and meat @ RM8.50
Hubby doesn't like the smell of cilantro, so I requested for the cilantro to be packed separately.
1 portion fried beef noodle @ RM7 (or was it RM7.50?)

From my garden.
My air plants are flowering.
I have yet to separate them from the mother plant.
Almost mid-day sky at 11:41am.
Our home cooked dinner.
Boiled baby yam, drizzled with garlic oil, soy sauce and some chili dried shrimp.
These baby yams are usually available near mid-autumn festival.
I ate these in place of rice.
Pan fried soy sauce prawns with home grown spring onion.
Old fashioned dressing table and wash basin.

After washing their feet he (Jesus) put on his robe again
and sat down and asked, "Do you understand what I was doing?
You call me 'Master' and 'Lord,' and you do well to say it,
for it is true. And since I, the Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet.
I have given you an example to follow:
do as I have done to you.
(John 13:12-15, The Living Bible-TLB)

  6. Ooooo...what a coincidence! We also had beef soup yesterday but no tendon, no tripe. Will blog about it soon. And we had prawns the day before - managed to buy..A LOT of about that same size! Almost a month, I think...I could not get any, big or small, from my favourite fish & seafood stall.

How long have it been since you started keeping the air plants? Any tips to keep them growing as well as you have done cos my friend's air plants keep dying.

    1. I bought this air plant slightly more than 3 years ago. I hang the plant under my side porch. It has plenty of light but away from direct sunlight. Every morning, I will just spray it with water as I watered my plants.

  17. Lovely sky photos. It was misty when I got to work last Sat. Thick fog in some spots on Sunday. It rained most of Tues til late afternoon. Your food looks delicious! My husband doesn't like cilantro too much but he likes spicer food than me. I need to make bar cookies today. Have a good day!
