Hor Hee Tung Fun At Seng Restaurant, Falim, Ipoh

This was a Thursday morning.

Started our morning walk at about 6:50am.
Sorry for the blur photo.
After morning walk, we drove to Falim for breakfast at Seng Restaurant.
This is our first visit here. They have another stall at Restoran Meng Meng Kee, Bandar Baru Menglembu which we used to frequent.
Menu and pricing on the wall.
We ordered 2 bowls of Hor Hee Tung Fun (transparent or mung bean noodle).
I like mine with some bird's eye chilies added to the soup.
Added 2 fish balls and 2 meat balls.
1 cup of unsweetened coffee.
There are few other stalls occupying the 2 shop lots and one of them is selling Western food.
Opposite is the Tin City museum.
I haven't been here and I am not sure if this is open to public.
From Lahat road, in front of Restoran Sun Kim Aik (dim sum restaurant), there is a road on the right to turn to Seng Restaurant. (If you are coming from Menglembu side.)
~~~~~
I was sitting on a low stool, doing some weeding when this bird flew down and settled on the grass near me.
I used Google Lens to identify this bird and the search showed "Zebra Dove".
I think it was searching for worms for its breakfast.
I was pointing my hand phone camera at it and surprisingly, it started to move towards me.
See? It was not afraid of me. It came to about an arm's length from me.
Then it turned and slowly moved away from me.
Birds like to visit my garden to find food. We have lots of big fat earthworms in the soil (pots and ground).
"For the people shall walk after the Lord.
I shall roar as a lion at their enemies and
my people shall return trembling from the west.
Like a flock of birds, they will come from Egypt -
like doves flying from Assyria.
And I will bring them home again;
it is a promise from the Lord."
(Hosea 11:10-11, The Living Bible-TLB)
    1. Thank you, Angie. Lou Shu Fun (老鼠粉), also known as Silver Needle Noodles or Bee Tai Bak (米苔目) is a variety of Chinese noodles. It is white in colour and semi-translucent, made from rice flour and cornflour, to give the smooth and shiny texture. The noodles can be stir-fried or served in soups.
  14. Thank you Nancy for introducing us to the zebra dove. I wonder why the bird is not afraid of humans. I like the Hor Hee Tung Fun At Seng Restaurant, Falim. I will try to ask the Hor hee stall nearby whether or not they have tung fun cos it would nice to eat tung fun with the fish paste skin wantons. Will you be setting up a bird bath for the zebra dove since the weather is so hot?
