Nasi Kunyit, Prawn Noodle & Poached Chicken Leg

Most mornings, hubby will decide where to go for breakfast. I will only decide what to eat when I reached the place. On this particular morning, we went to Restoran Meng Meng Kee.

Hubby ordered nasi kunyit (turmeric glutinous rice + chicken curry).
I ordered prawn noodle which by itself is not spicy. I am still avoiding spicy food for the time being so I didn't touch the spicy sauce.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
I poached 2 chicken legs in slow boiling water + ginger slices + garlic. I didn't have spring onions so I used garlic. When the chicken legs are cooked, I shredded the meat off the bones. Then I drizzled oyster + soy sauce and garlic oil over it before serving.
2 bowls of chicken soup that was used for poaching the chicken. I was nice to drink without adding any salt.
Broccoli cooked with marinated minced meat.
(these were extra that were kept in the fridge).
Steamed brown rice.
I steamed the rice with a bit extra water to soften the rice for easy digestion.
The following hill / cave photos were taken outside the Gunung Lang area, facing the road.
Ipoh city is surrounded by limestone hills.
With the many limestone hills in Ipoh, the underground water is good for growing beansprouts.
 Ipoh is famous for blanched beansprout and poached chicken which attracts tourist from far and near.
There is a jogging / walking track along these hills.
Behind these hills is the Gunung Lang recreational park and lake.
Shall I look to the mountain gods for help?
No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains!
And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall.
For he is always watching, never sleeping.
(Psalm 121:1-4, The Living Bible-TLB)
    1. We have some beautiful hills here in Ipoh. But the quarry activities have caused some nice hills to disappear.
