Dinner @ Warehouse At Palo 101, Ipoh

The day started with breakfast with friends at Kopitiam Ngai Seng, Medan Bendahara 2, Ipoh. Our friends have tried and enjoyed the wonton noodles and wanted to introduce to us. When we reached the place, our friends have already ordered our breakfast for us.

Wonton noodle with roast duck and roast pork, and a bowl of wonton dumplings. Hubby and I shared this plate of noodle.
Bbq stuffed intestine and roast pork lunch without rice.
After doing some repair work up on the flat roof above the porch area, hubby was hubby hungry by 1:30pm. Accompanied hubby out for lunch and we ended up at the coffee shop selling roast pork. We had roast pork for breakfast and now roast pork for lunch.
~~~~~
After having our plan postponed twice, we finally get to have dinner at the Warehouse, Palo 101. It happened to be raining heavily that evening and it took us a while to find the entrance to the Warehouse, which is a food and brew place located at 189, Unit 3, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Taman Jubilee, Ipoh.
Inside the Warehouse.
The upper floor section was closed that evening.
We have given a table with 6 high chairs. We didn't know or else we would have requested for a table with low chairs for 6 seniors.
This wall mural was next to our table.
~~~~~
After browsing through the menu, we finally ordered the following:
Grilled Sea Bass with creamy sauce - 2 sets (RM53.60)
Grilled Lamb Shoulder - 2 sets (RM51.60)
Ham-Dan (salted egg) Whole chicken leg - 2 sets (RM45.60)
By the time we finished dinner, the rain has stopped.
I found the above moth fluttering on the floor. Not easy to take these snapshots because it didn't stay still for long. By the time I came out from the kitchen, it has disappeared, hopefully it had flew out the window.
This tiny pretty yellow butterfly was clinging onto the Water Jasmine plant.

"But the good soil represents honest, good-hearted people.
They listen to God's words and cling to them and
steadily spread them to others who also soon believe."

Dinner For 4 At Asow Eatery Station, Jalan Ampang Baru, Ipoh

We had planned a dinner at Asow Eatery Station for 6 people on a Tuesday evening. A friend had called to make reservation for 6 people. Later another call was made to change the reservation to only 4 people because the other 2 were not able to make it.

A table for 4 people were reserved for us.
Once seated, we ordered our food.
A friend and I ordered this grilled chicken aglio olio.
The camera must do its work first before we can start to eat.
Another friend ordered this grilled salmon dish.
Grilled salmon taken from another angle.
Hubby ordered grilled lamb
And I get to eat the carrot and the corn.
Thank you, friend for this wonderful dinner treat.
Pink hibiscus from Asow plant nursery.
One morning, I spotted this big grasshopper feeding on my hibiscus leaf. Even when I went near, it didn't flew away. Instead, it clung on tightly to the hibiscus plant.

A wise man is hungry for truth,
while the mocker feeds on trash.

Lamb Soup and BBQ Lamb For Dinner, Ipoh.

It was a Friday evening and initially, I thought of cooking something simple for dinner. Before it was time to cook, it started to rain heavily. I remembered mentioning to hubby about the BBQ Lamb at the People's Park in Ipoh old town, Jalan Bijeh Timah. A cool, wet evening sounds great for a BBQ Lamb dinner because mutton is believed to keep our bodies warm.
We waited for the rain to turn to a drizzle. We reached the place just before 6.30 pm. They open for business from 6 pm until 11 pm.
We haven't been to this park for a long time.
 The park was deserted after the previous restaurant closed down.
Open kitchen
Take a look at the 3 pieces of black grilled lamb hanging in the above picture. The colour almost changed our minds about taking our dinner here. Lol! Good thing, I was determine to give this place a try.
We had green tea. Hot for me and cold for hubby @ RM 2.00 each.
We ordered the following to share.
We ordered a Lamb Rack @ RM 45.00
(Grilled lamb, roast potato, some salad and a dipping sauce)
We also ordered a Lamp Soup with bread or rice @ RM 13.00
We chose rice instead of bread.
A bowl of lamb soup with a few pieces of meat that almost melt in your mouth. I enjoyed this soup very much because the spices were not overpowering and it was a very soothing soup to drink on a cool evening. Will be returning for this soup and next time, I will try the bread.
This time I chose flavoured rice.
Our dinner for two costs us RM 62.00 (no sale & service tax)
It will be good to dine under the open sky on dry cool evenings.
Facing the open kitchen and cashier counter.
Taken from another angle
There is a children's playground at one end of the park.
A swimming pool
Dining hall on the left, kitchen and cashier counter on the right.
I like this but we have nothing to complain about.
The ground was still wet after the rain and there was a fine drizzle.
I started off using fork and spoon and ended up using my fingers to handle the ribs.
The food tastes better when you use your fingers.
What do you think?
Glad to see that the park is once again lighted up and revived.

Never forget your promises to me your servant,
for they are my only hope.
They give me strength in all my troubles;
how they refresh and revive me!

On Friday, I received a text message from a friend of mine that she will be free to meet up with me for lunch. We haven't met for almost half a year. After a few messages going to and fro, we agreed to meet up for lunch at De Cuisine in Ipoh town. Both of us ordered set lunch.
 Mushroom soup with toasted bread for both of us.
 For the main course, I chose grilled lamb with black pepper sauce.
It was served with potato wedges & salad.
For the main course, my friend chose chicken chop with black pepper sauce.
It was served with potato wedges & salad.
 We both had coffee.
 For dessert, we had dark chocolate brownie with ice-cream.
After lunch, my friend took me to a new place to try their dessert.
I will share a post on the dessert possibly tomorrow.

The last time I had lunch here was in December, 2015!
How time flies!

He sends his orders to the world.
How swiftly his word flies.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been busy spring cleaning my house. I have been procrastinating in the cleaning job for too long. Even with the cleaning job, we still keep to our morning walking exercise and early morning breakfast. Here are some of the breakfasts and dinner we have been enjoying.
 Breakfast - Ban mee (soup version) at Restoran Bandaraya, Ipoh.
If you are not prepared to wait, then you better not order from this stall.
 Spicy Ban Mee (dry version)
 This soup comes with the dry version Ban Mee.
 Breakfast - Rice vermicelli with roast pork, bbq pork & shredded chicken in plain soup. I enjoy the soup version more than the curry. Took this breakfast at Restoran Sun Heng, Canning Garden.
 Western style breakfast at Pusat Makanan Sun Hor Lok, Persiaran Greenhill.
Breakfast - Teluk Intan style chee cheong fun at Restoran Yei Lock, Jalan Kampar.
 Dinner - Grilled Lamp Arab style at GP, Taman Pertama.
 Dinner - Porridge (minced pork, salted egg & century egg) at GP, Taman Pertama.
 Black jelly - cold dessert - from the Chinese medical shop.
 Love this chilled black jelly dessert with some syrup from the small tub.
