Dinner At Fu Lim Restaurant, Ipoh

We have been talking and asking for venue suggestions for dinner on the 1st Friday of March from our group. We finally decided on Fu Lim Restaurant, Menglembu because one of our group members has not been there before. We booked a table for 6 people for 6:30pm to avoid the dinner crowd. We ordered the following dishes.

Stir fried baby Chinese kai lan.
Fried tofu with minced pork topping.
Assam prawns, fish slices and squid, very appetizing dish.
Deep fried chicken marinated with prawn sauce.
Total cost of dinner = RM112.89 (incl. rice and drink). After dinner, we drove over to Aeon Big Falim. After having bought fruits and a few things from supermarket, we stop at Sun Yin Loong White Coffee to ice-cream.
We ordered 3 Affogato ice-cream (with black coffee) for 3 couples to share. The photo showing the coffee poured over the ice cream turn out blurr, so I have to discard it.

Today, I am sharing another aquarium fish from a friend.
Blue King Tetra (Cochu's Blue).
These are some of the smaller varieties of tetra fish. For the best result and for beautiful aquarium scenery, they do best on a planted aquarium.
This blue coloured fish is small in size and is one of the best choices for a schooling fish for a planted tank. A densely planted tank with a lot of hiding places will help to bring out its colour to the fullest. It is usually streamlined in shape and it can grow lengthwise up to 1.6 inches.

You are my hiding place from every storm of life;
you even keep me from getting into trouble!
You surround me with songs of victory.

Dinner Tastes More Delicious When Shared

One morning while having breakfast together with friends, we started talking about the need to cook to clear our fridge. Then the idea came that it would be nice to cook and share our dinner. We decided to have an early dinner in my house. Dinner was ready by about 5.30 pm. My friend contributed the following 2 dishes.
Dried prawn curry with long beans by my friend.
Canned poon choy with added napa cabbage by my friend.

I cooked the following 2 dishes.
Yam bean cooked with carrot, dried prawns and cuttlefish strips
Old cucumber soup boiled with rib bones.
When we shared our dinner, we get to enjoy more variety.
It is also a good opportunity to enjoy one another's company.

Work happily together. Don't try to act big.
Don't try to get into the good graces of important people,
but enjoy the company of ordinary folks.
And don't think you know it all!

Lunch With Ex-colleagues At Classic Dining, Fair Park, Ipoh.

We had planned to visit this ex-colleague of ours and it finally took place last Saturday. It happened to be a free day for most of us. After a few phone calls to the others, we were able to put our plan into action.

Our visit included taking our ex-colleague out for lunch at the Classic Dinning in Fair Park (main road). Fortunately, a table was available for 6 people as the rest were reserved. To avoid disappointment, it is safer to call and make reservation (tel: 05-5430153, 018-2730188).

Umbrella shaped lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
I think it was the lady boss who saw me taking pictures. So nice of her to ask whether I am interested to go upstairs to take a look. Only 3 were curious enough! Plenty of seating places for customers and also good for holding dinner parties.

Look after each other so that not one of you
will fail to find God's best blessings.
Watch out that no bitterness takes root among you,
for as it springs up it causes deep trouble,
hurting many in their spiritual lives.
