LUNCH IN MACAU.

Hong Kong, Day 3 - Lunch in Macau.

Before we could do any more sightseeing, we had to fill our hungry tummies first. I had no idea where we were going but some in our group knew. We were going to have our lunch at Wong Chi Kei, the Congee Master and Noodle Expert.
Just look at the crowd waiting outside the shop.

The number of people waiting outside the door did not discouraged us. Take a look above the signboard and you can see the customers seated on the 1st floor.

Looking at the number, we had a long wait before our number was called. It was about 30-40 minutes when our number was flashed. We had to take 2 separate tables, one on the 1st floor and the other on the 2nd floor.

Hubby and I were with the 2nd group led by Pete and our table was on the 2nd floor. The place was really packed with customers. Pete helped us ordered the food.
Started with Chinese tea and a bowl of soup each. All the food shown below were shared by 5 people
A bowl of Shrimp Dumpling in Soup.

A bowl of Grilled Pork Chop with Noodle in Soup.
A bowl of Shrimp Dumpling with Noodle in Soup.
Braised Noodle with Shrimp's Eggs. I like this. It tasted very special.

Used a kitchen scissor to cut noodle for easier sharing.

A plate of Rice with Shrimps and Egg. Lots of prawns and the prawns were very fresh.
A plate of Crispy Deep Fried Wantons.

2 Macau Pork Chop Bread.

Very good! We all enjoyed the Pork Chop bun.

A plate of Deep Fried Fish Balls. These tasted really great!

Very flavourful and bouncy.
The other group S.O.S. us that they couldn't get the fish balls, so we shared the fish balls with them. Pete took some of the fish balls down to them and in exchange brought back some of the boiled intestine from them.

These were not soft enough, too tough to chew.

Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble

is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.

    1. Hi Rose, so sorry about the last dish. For most Asians, especially the Chinese, most of us know how to enjoy certain food which are yucks! to them. Anyway I do not fancy innards but some of my friends love it.
