Sunday Lunch At Kedai Makanan Mee Sun, Ipoh.

Our church worship celebration usually ends around 12 pm. After church, my friend and I will go for our lunch and a time of fellowship before we go home. Last week, we ended up at Kedai Makanan Mee Sun, Tingkat Taman Ipoh 6, Ipoh Garden South, Ipoh.
Most of the morning stalls have closed. We decided to order from this stall near where we were seated.
No problem if we cannot read Chinese. We can just point to the pictures.
This was my friend's order - Prawn noodle or Hokkien mee - RM5 (approx.1.20 USD). I have tasted this prawn noodle before, so this time I wanted to try something else.
I ordered this bowl of curry noodle - RM5 (approx. 1.20 USD). Both noodes were quite good and tasty.
Enjoying the sky view on my way home after sending my friend back to her house.
Later in the afternoon, I ate some of my homemade pickles. They consist of carrots, cucumbers, preserved salted mustard (char choy), white raddish and young ginger. I used sugar and apple cider vinegar to make the pickles. Munching on the crunchy pickles is good exercise for my gums and jaws.
While I was at a car tire shop, I saw this beer cans windmill spinning away above where I was seated.
I converted an old Singer sewing machine pedal stand into a base for my pot of Begonia plant. Hubby placed a slab of black marble over the stand to support the flower pot.
I used some leftover paint to paint over the old metal stand.

  2. Your plant stand is a good idea..one way to utilise the stand of the Singer Sewing machine. One of the Hotels in the north of our State has several of those as dinning room tables, but of course with tablecloths.

  19. Nancy...Your plant created an optical illusion for me. At first I thought it was cut wood for the fireplace, but then i wondered how the old machine could hold all of that weight without falling over. But you said it was a begonia plant so I looked more closely and saw it. What a neat way to use the old singer stand. I really like the wind chimes. It must have taken a lot of time to cur out all of those pieces so perfectly from the cans.

    1. Thank you, Genie. After reading about the optical illusion, I went back to take a look at my photo and I know what you meant. I too realized that it took a lot of time to cut out all those pieces. I am now very interested in wanting to try too.
