Cooking Hokkien Prawn Noodle With Ready Made Paste

At first we were happy to hear that under latest full lockdown, we can go out for walk from 7am onwards. Later, we learned that for those of us under EMCO, we have to wait until EMCO is over (last day 4th June) before we join the nationwide full lockdown which started on the 1st June.

Sunrise at 7:17am (1st of June).
Hubby went to buy breakfast while I stayed home to make coffee and half boiled egg.
Hubby's breakfast: Chinese crullers, half boiled eggs and coffee.
My breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with peanut jam and Nescafe.

I have been thinking of Hokkien Prawn Noodle. I have ready made paste and there was a packet of frozen prawns in the freezer. I informed my neighbour that we will be having prawn noodle for dinner.
Ready made Hokkien Prawn Noodle paste from Penang.
Ingredients used: ready made paste for the soup, blanched prawns with shells, chicken fillet, hard boiled eggs, Chinese chives from my garden, and dried noodle.

Our neighbour enjoyed her dinner very much, all praise for this delicious prawn noodle.
This Hokkien Prawn Noodle soup using this ready made paste from Penang tastes very authentic.

Before the EMCO, I went to UTC (urban transformation centre) to settle some payment.
When I came out, I passed by this cat sitting on a cabinet outside the building.
I stopped to take a snapshot. It didn't look at me.
Then it looked like something has attracted its attention.

Kindness makes a man attractive.
And it is better to be poor than dishonest.

  1. Love yout breakfast especially cruellers. During MCO1.0, we tried to make buns, crullers. Now hardly do and I still habe packs of flour. Lol. Guess my man was overboard.

Now lockdown is extended, I read.

    1. I too have been making steamed buns during MCO but this time I was not so diligent and I have 2 packs of flour in the fridge. I have to admit that it is much more convenient to buy than to make, after all we can't eat much.

  2. How convenient that you can have authentic tasting Penang prawn noodles at home. I wonder if I can find that paste over here. That cat looks similar to one I saw at my office not too long ago.

  22. That's wonderful sunrise waking out of mountains and the cat reminds me our own who had been very pet. Here too the lockdown is relaxed for morning walkers... but my father continued to take walking as it is must for the diabetic patients.
