This was the last Thursday of the month of May, also the 6th day of EMCO for Ipoh. No morning walk, no dine-in, only takeaway. Only 1 person from each household is allowed to go out for essential. So hubby went out on his motorcycle to buy takeaway for breakfast while I stayed home to boil water to make coffee.
He bought 2 pieces of fried stuffed bean curd sheet with yam bean and 2 fish balls with breadcrumb.
My bowl of fish noodle with bird's eye chilies for extra oomph.
1 portion of fish noodle consisting of thick fish slices, fish cake, rice vermicelli, salted veggie (hum choy), napa cabbage, tomato, ginger strips, and Chinese cooking wine. The cook will add extra wine for us.
Hubby's bowl of fish noodles without the bird's eye chili.
1 portion of fish soup noodle costs RM9 which is enough for 2 people.

Lunch
There was some extra rice from the previous day's chicken chop rice kept in the fridge.
Hubby was hungry so he used the rice to make fried rice. He used egg and plenty of onions to fry his plate of rice. I taxed 2 spoonsful of fried rice from the plate.
For dessert, we had apple mango.
~~~~~
Simple home cooked dinner
2nd and last portion of sambal stinky beans.
Sauteed broccoli and carrot with garlic and salt to taste.
Fast and easy dinner.
My friend sent me photos of her recently adopted pets.
She has a heart of compassion for the strays.
Photos credited to Aislynn.
She found this stray cat with a chronic cold problem. She took him to the vet and she is now trying her best to nurse the cat back to health. She named the cat "Tom-Tom". She wears a fur coat with a mixture of chocolate gray.
This is Dingo, a stray dog at 6 weeks when she adopted him.
He is a bundle of energy and will chew anything he can get holds of.
This is my work, and I can do it only because
DeleteIt is sad we are in total lockdown but life is good if husbands are doing some cooking. Your breakfast is my kind of food - a variety and noodles is my fav. Hope we can go walking soon or all that good food will make us quite round
ReplyDeleteDuring lockdowns, exercise is reduce but food intake has increased. Boredom encourages snacking.
DeleteThe portion of the fish noodles is so big that it can fill two full bowls, very worth the price of RM9. Dingo looks so cute and energetic! I love cats too but scare of their scratches.
