This was 2 Mondays ago. There were 4 fish balls and 2 loh mai kai (steamed glutinous rice) in the fridge, given to us by our neighbour. Upon reaching home from morning walk, I put the fish balls and loh mai kai to steam and boiled water to make tea.
The tea bags were given by another friend.
We each had 2 fish balls and 1 loh mai kai, enough to sustain us till dinner.

Our neighbour called me to inform that she had ordered dinner for us.
#1 - Pattaya Fried Rice
#2 - Fried Chicken with black pepper sauce + rice.
She also ordered 5 pieces curry puffs which we kept for next day's lunch.
The 2 sets came with free iced lemon tea.
Pattaya fried rice: Flavourful fried rice wrapped in egg omelette.
Thanks to our neighbour for ordering 2 different sets for us to enjoy.

The following snapshots were taken on our morning walk.
Every morning, we pass by this house where there is this dog sitting on top of its owner car. It sits facing outward keeping a close watch of what is happening in front of him.
This is the first time I see a dog on top of a car. It is common to see a cat on top of a car but not a dog.
As hubby walked past, it turned its head to keep its eyes on hubby.
I think it doesn't like me stopping in front of the house, pointing my hand phone in its direction. Before it could get down from the top of the car, I quickly moved on.

Looks delicious! I love fish and rice))
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elena.
DeletePattaya fried rice is definitely something I want to try too. Your neighbour is so kind and sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. We are blessed with good neighbour.
DeleteThis is the first time that I see a dog sitting on top of a car! How unusual and like you said, it is usually cats that do it. The Pattaya fried rice looks delicious. It is quite tricky to wrap the rice in the omelette.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many eggs they have to use to make the omelette to wrap the rice.
DeleteHello Nancy,
ReplyDeleteYour meals look delicious! I have never seen a dog on top of a car, that is strange. He/she is on guard and needs a higher view I guess. Silly dog, cute photos! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Thank you, Eileen. It like the dog wants a higher and better view.
DeleteI always believed in 'good fences make good neighbours', but your neighbours are proving it wrong. Such delish looking food. Perhaps the dog gets a better view from there.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shiju. The car is the dog's watching tower.
Delete...quite the guard dog!
ReplyDeleteThe dog makes the car its watch tower.
DeleteLOL that dog is funny...great photos you shared. The fried rice dish looks really good, what a delicious way to present it too!

DeleteHello Dear Nancy! Fried chicken with black pepper sauce and rice look so delicious. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The fried chicken is crunchy outside and tender inside. Have a happy week.
DeleteI would like to eat that Pattaya rice. Long time never eat that already. Delicious food you have for the whole day. Nice neighbours. That dog must have learned to sit on top of the car from a cat. Did you see any cat around that dog?
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any cat there. One morning I saw the owner who greeted us as we passed by. He doesn't seem to mind the dog going up and down on his car top. The dog will be up on the car every morning when we pass by.
DeleteThe Pattaya fried rice looks delicious.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Ellie. Happy new week.
DeleteLike rice, hate fish, like this post
ReplyDeleteMy hubby doesn't like fish too.
DeleteI am already most annoyed when cats sit on my car! They'd leave fur and I worry their claws will leave scratches which would be expensive to fix. Can't imagine if it's a dog haha.
ReplyDeleteI too would be annoyed but not so with the dog's owner. Every morning without fail the dog will be up there on top of the car. One morning we saw the owner outside and he just let the dog be....Can't deny that the dog is a good watch dog.
