Polo Bun Sandwich And Wonton Noodle

This was the 2nd day I hurt my back while gardening.

No morning walk but I can still sweep the floor and water the plants.
Sunrise at 6:50am.
Hubby went out to the nearby shop for his breakfast and I stayed home. I asked him to get for me a polo bun sandwich for my breakfast.
Home made milo and polo bun sandwich.
The polo bun has a piece of ham and an egg.
~~~~~
Tomato plants from my garden.
One plant has started to flower.
Another one has buds.
~~~~~
Pre-CNY gifts from friends and neighbour.
Hubby's friend came from Sitiawan and gave us this box of Tambun biscuits from Penang.
A friend made glutinous rice cake (nian gao) and gave us 2.
We received the above from our neighbour: A box of mandarin oranges, a can of abalone and a pactket of Chinese sausages.
~~~~~
No cooking that evening, so we eat out.
We had wonton noodle in Buntong village. We have been patronizing this place for 30 over years.
We ordered 2 plates of wonton noodle (dry version) with pork strips, gravy and fat beansprouts.
2 bowls of minced pork wonton dumplings with extra dumplings.
An antique motorcycle at the Gopeng museum.
Took this snapshot when we last visited in 2015.
  1. Wowwww!!! So blessed! Gifts for CNY are pouring in! I miss the Chinese sausages from my friend in KL, her hubby in the meat business. Their own-made Chinese sausages are wine-infused, so very nice and not so hard! Haven't had a polo bun for a long time now - the one I had was kosong, nothing inside.
    1. This polo bun stall was formerly in town but has shifted to our regular coffee shop. Now I can enjoy the different types of polo bun sandwich every now and then. Sometimes I will order the kosong polo bun too.
  3. Interesting to 'kiap' the polo bun like that, sweet and savoury at the same time.
    I didn't recognise that as WTM with the taugeh hehe.
    1. Yes, sometimes I will just order the plain polo bun but once in a while I enjoy having the polo bun sandwich. Usually wonton mee will have choy sum but possibly Buntong is famous for taugeh, they use taugeh. Maybe I should interview the lady boss one day to find out. Lol!
  4. Sorry about your back! The food looks interesting again.
    Nearly got such a bun today, too, but it looked old and fatty... Had a boring slice of bread with cheese instead.
  12. Hola Nancy. Espero que tu espalda se mejore pronto. La comida siempre se ve sabrosa y apetece probarla. Es una maravilla disfrutar de lis tomates en flor. Aquí hace mucho frío y aún tardaremos un poco en ver flores. Besos.
