Dinner At Kopitiam 1 Curve, Ipoh

2 Fridays ago, the 4 of us planned to have dinner in Ipoh old town. We were early and by the time we parked our car it was about 6:25 pm.
I remembered I have shared this image of this newly renovated building and the image of the old building (below) in one of my previous posts.
An abandoned place (still) waiting for someone to do something.
The food stall that we were looking for was not there. We stopped to have soy bean curd (tau fu fah) at the Concubine Lane just before they closed up for the day.

Next, we drove to the next place and found the restaurant fully packed. Finally, we ended up in Kopitiam 1 Curve, Desa Rishah for dinner. We have not been here for a long time.
Stir fried sweet potato leaves with fermented tofu (fu yee).
Pork belly slices stewed with salted fish in a clay pot.
 Nyonya sambal fish slices.
Deep fried nam yee chicken wings.

The following photos are for Saturday's Critters.
Sunrise at the park - 6:30 am
Dogs too come to the park to exercise.
This one found something nice to chew on.
These 2 dogs are counting their steps.
All the walking toughens me and makes me healthy.
Sorry for this blur image but I think it looks like a water colour painting.

In the same way,
we can see and understand only a little about God now,
as if we were peering at his reflection in a poor mirror;
but someday we are going to see him in his completeness,
face to face.
Now all that I know is hazy and blurred,
but then I will see everything clearly,
just as clearly as God sees into my heart right now.

Simple Home cooked Dinner With Brinjals From My Garden.

There are days that I feel like cooking especially when I have some harvest from my garden. This particular day, I noticed 4 green brinjals hanging under the branches with the leaves covering them from my sight. If I hadn't bent down to take a peek under the branches, I would have missed these brinjals and possibly when they are found later, they would have been too matured to be eaten.
4 tender green and white brinjals ready for our dinner.
I took the lazy and easy way out. I didn't even peel off the skin which was a mistake. When we eat, we have to scrape the flesh away from the skin. I cut the brinjals lengthwise into quarters and steamed the brinjals. Before serving, I drizzled onion oil plus scallop sauce and sprinkled crispy fried onions over it.
I bought a piece of tenderloin pork and thinking that it was a small piece, I use up the whole thing. I haven't been cooking regularly and looks like I over estimated the amount. This was too much for 2 people to finish. Ended up keeping more than half for the next day. The pork slices were marinated and pan fried. It was served with sweet and sour pickled onions and bird's chilies to make it more appetizing.

We Are Back Again At Kopitiam 1 Curve.

We have been to many places and this place seems to be everyone's favourite because the food is good and the pricing is reasonable. Most important, the food is cooked according to our taste. So, when someone suggested Kopitiam 1 Curve as our dinner venue again, everyone is agreeable. Each time we are there, we try to order new dishes to try.
Stir fried spicy sambal pork slices and long beans. This is good.
Kung Poh fish slices with dried chilies, ginger slices, onions and spring onions.
Lam Yee deep fried chicken wings,
Stir fried kailan with pork slices and prawns

Dinner With Friends At Locomotive Seafood Restaurant, Bercham.

On Saturday afternoon while our guests were preparing to leave for home, we received a phone call to inform that our friend from Subang Jaya was also back for the "Ching Ming" festival and requested us to meet up with him and his sister for dinner that night in Bercham.
We replied that we will be happy to meet up with them that evening.
It took us about half an hour's drive to reach Bercham.
Our meeting time was 8 pm.
The best part of going out in the evening is catching sight of the sunsets.

Hallelujah! O servants of Jehovah, praise his name.
Blessed is his name forever and forever.
Praise him from sunrise to sunset!
For he is high above the nations;
his glory is far greater than the heavens.
(Psalm 113:1-4, TLB)
We needed 2 cars to take us to the restaurant.
As you can see, the place was already crowded.
It was about 8.30 pm and we did get a table for ourselves.
 This is their menu.
Deep fried tofu with "seng kua" or angled luffa gourd and black wood fungus.
Deep fried pork belly with preserved sweet veggie or "mui choy kau yoke".
Stir fried green veggie with garlic.
Pork slices with dried chilis and onions or "koon poh chu yoke".
Sweet potato leaves stir fried with spicy prawn paste.
This was our yummy dinner with delightful fellowship for 6 people. After dinner, we parted and to meet again for next morning Sunday celebration in church.
May God's abundant blessings be upon you!
