We have been patronizing this place faithfully for many years, something like over 33 plus years. They have rebuilt the whole place and now the shop is bright, clean, spacious and comfortable. The father has passed on the business to his children and he only comes to help out during the weekend and public holidays.
We like the texture of the homemade noodles, which is not too chewy, just right for our liking. Others may prefer more chewy noodle. Some, like my family prefer less chewy noodle, which means less or without alkaline water added to the noodle. Everyday, the customers will be there waiting for the business to start. Whenever we want to eat wanton noodle for dinner or supper, we will automatically think of Buntong Wanton Noodle.
Very nice and comfortable place to enjoy our noodle. We were early, only 4 tables ahead of us.
The famous Buntong "Cheong Kee" wanton noodle is in a corner shop. It is on the same road as St. Augustine Church, which is just next to the wet market.
Pickled green chili is a must to eat with wanton noodle. They have the best fresh, crunchy pickled green chili.

2 plates of dry version noodle with braised meat slices, crunchy bean sprouts and dark sauce, garnished with diced spring onions.
2 bowls of double portion of wanton, we always order extra wantons. We enjoyed the noodle and wanton in soup. We have never felt the after effect of the presence of monosodium glutamate i.e. feeling thirsty after our meal.
Iced "black & white" - meaning iced soy milk with black grass jelly (lengkong in Malay). Total cost of dinner (incl. drinks) less than MYR 15 (approx. 4.21 USD).
