Assam Laksa & Hakka Loh See Fun At Restoran Yee Lock, Ipoh.

On last Monday morning, we were at the recreational park for our early morning walking exercise. It was a beautiful morning and I took a few sunrise shots before I started my walking rounds around the pond.

These sunrise shots are for linking to Skywatch Friday.
After our morning walk, went home to water my plants.
I do not know the name of this plant.
Hoping someone out there can help me with the name.
These are Wishbone flowers or Torenia.
So happy to see 2 deep pink flowers among the purple ones.
2 gorgeous yellow blooms to brighten up my morning. This is a very common plant called Yellow Alder, Yellow Buttercups or Sage Rose. Its scientific name is Turnera Ulmifolia
My pretty purple periwinkle flowers.
These flowers are for linking up with Today's Flowers.

After watering my plants, quickly took my bath and drove out to town to meet up with friends for breakfast. We were going to try out a new stall at Restoran Yee Lock, at the junction where Jalan Raja Musa Aziz and Jalan Leong Sin Nam meet.
I was looking forward to the Assam Laksa.
This is the stall named "Little John's". Both hubby and wife team are very friendly. This is our first visit.
My bowl of Assam Laksa with a spoonful of "shrimp paste" or "har koe" and a piece of deep fried crispy beancurd roll. Looking at this picture again makes me drool.
My friend's bowl of Loh See Fun noodle with meat balls, minced meat, deep fried anchovies and bean sprouts.
We were glad to point to the bowls as our feedback to the boss. Ha Ha! We almost slurped up all the soup especially the laksa!
On Thursday morning, hubby and I came back again.
This time I wanted to try the Loh See Fun.
This was my bowl of Loh See Fun with all the ingredients.
"Loh See Fun" translated as "rat noodle" -  not a nice name.
I prefer another name - "Silver Needle Noodle"
This was hubby's breakfast.
Stir fried rice vermicelli with prawns, egg, beansprouts, etc.

As God's partners, we beg you not to toss aside
this marvelous message of God's great kindness.
For God says, "Your cry came to me at a favorable time,
when the doors of welcome were wide open.
I helped you on a day when salvation was being offered."
Right now God is ready to welcome you.
Today He is ready to save you.
(2 Corinthians 6:1-2, TLB)

  21. You always have the most amazing flowers, so different than mine except the petunias.
The food must be very tasty. What are those Rat noodles made of and those round balls with the slit? I'm just curious>
    Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Thank you, Julia. Rat noodles or silver needle noodles are made of flour. It is short and round. Those are pork balls. The slit is for shorter cooking time. Have a lovely weekend.
