Dinner At Restoran Sawasdee Thai Cuisine, Ipoh.

Once again the haze is upon us. With the hot weather and haze, many of us are staying at home especially in the afternoon.
This was our morning sky. No more clear blue sky.
The sunrise was only a dull orange glow in the sky.
This was the type of sunrise we had last few days.
Can't even see the round orange sun.
Watching the gloomy sky.....

(Psalm 43:3-5, TLB)
O my soul, why be so gloomy and discouraged? Trust in God!
I shall again praise him for his wondrous help;
he will make me smile again, for he is my God!
I had a craving for Thai food and I googled the location of this place recommended by a friend and suggested to hubby. He agreed and together with a friend, we were here just before 6 pm and I think we were the first customers.
Mango salad with deep fried anchovies and onion rings.
Sweet sour and very appetizing.
Kai Lan green veggie stir fried with salted fish cubes.
Blanched or glass chicken claws salad - also very appetizing.
We started off first with these 3 dishes.
Finally, last dish - steamed "siakap yu" with tom yam soup.
It is Barramundi fish or Asian Seabass.
Cost of fish MYR 52 (approx. 13.27 USD).
Tom yam soup for the steamed fish served in a separate bowl.
The dish was sweet, sour and hot with lots of chili padi.
The steamed fish was kept warm over the charcoal heater.
Total cost of dinner for 3 people inclusive of rice and drinks
MYR 90.80 (approx. 23.18 USD)
A "black and white" guest came to visit my garden.
Thank you, Eileen for hosting Saturday's Critters.
It came for my Water Jasmine flowers.
It wouldn't stay still for me....
It was fluttering here and there.
It posed upside down for me...
Then it shifted a bit for me....
One last shot before it flew off to another location.
Happy weekend!

  3. I like the fish dish the best! I think on some days kl has the haze too. Is that a moth or butterfly? I don't know how to tell the exact difference though some says moths are not as colourful as butterflies. Have a nice Sunday tomorrow!

  31. Your butterfly pictures are good. They are not always easy to photograph. I think that most moths have fuzzy entenas and fuzzy bodies and butterflies have long antenas.
