Gifts For Mother's Day

Many celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday 13th May. It was like any normal Sunday to us. We went to church and before the Sunday worship service ended, all mothers were gifted with a stalk of carnation flower.
There were red and pink carnations distributed by the young people to mothers and I happened to received this red one. Today, it is still fresh and beautiful!

Just after dinner, I received a text message that a young friend of ours will be dropping by for a short visit. She brought along some goodies as Mother's Day gifts.
1st item - 2 pieces of different cake from Secret Recipe.
2 item - A box of biscuits from Ching Han Guan.
Chocolate cake in the box.
Too sweet for hubby so I finished the whole piece! Yumz!
Cheese cake in the box.
I ate this the next day for lunch.
This is one of the biscuits from the box.
Filling: lotus seed paste with meat floss.
Thanks to the sweet young lady who presented these gifts.

The following flowers from my garden are for joining Floral Bliss.
Deep red Adenium flower and bud.
Fully bloomed deep red Adenium.
Every flower has its own distinct beauty.
Left on their own, these Flame Violet plants are spreading all over the place and its a joy to see these pretty tiny red flowers.

Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt.
Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself.
And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them,
but be careful that you yourselves aren't pulled along into their sins.
Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners.

  12. YUM! This looks SO good!!! So thoughtful of her! The flame violets, are they real violets, or just named that? I have never heard of them. They even have beautiful leaves. They do resemble African Violets more than the wild kind. your Adenium are gorgeous! I have seen none of these here.
