Kopisan Lai Fun (Rice Noodle) & Stewed Chicken Feet

This was a Thursday morning. It was warm and there was hardly any breeze.

Sunrise at 7:00am
Starting of our morning walk.
Sunrise at 7:28am.
~~~~~
We drove out to town to buy breakfast.
We bought 2 portions of rice noodle (Kopisan lai fun) with some fish balls and fish cakes.
We also bought some fried crackers and fried stuffed bean curd sheet aka as "liew".
Curry paste oil as condiment.
We like to add the curry paste oil to the soup.
A very enjoyable and filling breakfast for 2 people.
Sunset bells in my garden.
Morning sky at 9:55am.
~~~~~
Dinner.
I stewed chicken feet with mushrooms. The cabbage was added later. No other dish because I had some leftover pumpkin + carrot curry in the fridge
I steamed some rice for hubby while I ate bread dipped in the curry.
Snapshot of an antique baby rocking crib, when we visited the Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village in January, 2015. Our last visit was in 2016 and later, we heard that the access road to this place has been changed.

It doesn't make any difference now
whether we have been circumcised or not;
What counts is whether we really have been changed
into new and different people.

  1. Long time I didn't eat chicken feet. Don't know whether I dare to eat or not now but when I was a little girl I ate a lot of chicken feet. Does your husband eat chicken feet?

  7. ...Nancy, I don't think that young mothers today would put their baby in a crib like this today. It's not fancy enough. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day.

  13. I never heard of sunset Bells. They are adorable. Are they named this because they bloom at sunset?

    1. Thank you, Ginny. They bloom the whole day. I think it could be due to the sunset colours of the flowers.

  16. I have a friend who loves chicken feet. I am sure they are spicy! Lovely post. When I saw the word "Qing" it made me think of a C-drama I am watching. Which supposedly is a new idea in a storyline (maybe period piece but feels more fantasy to me) where a young mother is looking for the father of her son and falls in love with a prince.

  22. That cultural village was closed during my last couple of trips to Ipoh. Seemed to have closed down permanently. Oh miss all the nice 'liew'. KL has yong tau foo which isn't quite the same.

    1. They do not have a proper access road to the cultural village so they are forced to used another route. There is a place where visitors can get entrance tickets but I am not sure where. That was before the pandemic.
