Lockdown To Me Is Stay Home, Stay Safe & Grow Fat

I have decided not to step on the weighing scale because I know I wouldn't like to see what it will show me. I haven't been out for morning walk for more than a week and am too lazy to do indoor exercises. The only exercise I did is eating and more eating. I don't know about others but it looks like lockdown for me means stay home, stay safe and grow fat!

Breakfast bought from roadside stall.

Nasi lemak with fried egg (RM3) for hubby.
Economy fried rice vermicelli with sambal (RM2) for me.
~~~~~
Lunch
Hubby bought the above for his lunch, the sauce packed separately.
Looks yummy with the sauce.
I had some over ripe bananas so I used them to make banana pancakes for my lunch.
For dessert, we had Jackfruits.
~~~~~
Dinner
Sambal stinky beans with minced pork for hubby (his favourite).
Sambal anchovies (ikan bilis) for me.
We each had our own favourite dish.
Best eaten with steamed rice.
I took only a few spoonfuls of rice because I wanted to finish the bread later.
After an early dinner, I finished the last 2 pieces of bread with sambal anchovies for supper.

He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body
when he died on the cross so that we can be finished with sin
and live a good life from now on. For his wounds have healed ours!

  3. Walking is really one of the best workouts. However, I still love to do HIIT and Weight Lifting at home...so much more convenient. As long as you are healthy, a few kilos more is absolutely fine..don't be too hard to yourself, Nancy. Gardening is another fun exercise too. The food looks droolworthy.

  4. I gained weight last year. Hardly exercise. So now this year, I made some progress. Treadmill on rainy day, morning walk on good day. Very hard to lose weight at my age now. I weighing myself this morning, 57 kg. Pre-mco last year, I was 55kg. Geez.

  6. I don't even bother to weight myself as I don't have a weighing machine at home but my clothes still fit so ok la. No need to be too particular about the numbers as long as we are not over weight. Love all your food but the portion is a bit too big for me. Have you considered eating the same food but half the portion since you are concerned about your weight?

  8. The same with me Nancy. We have not had real lockdown in Finland, but so many activites and hobbies have been at zero. The main hobby has been to eat and enjoy treats. But a woman needs some comfort, doesn’t she!

  9. Yummy! I stayed home and got fat last year but have almost lost all the extra pounds now that I'm walking my two miles a day again and eating more healthy. One you get back to your regular routine you'll lose it too.

  11. For me, is stay home, stay safe and lose weight, the opposite! Because when I thought of dabao food, I felt lazy and no appetite (dabao food not as nice as eat on the spot) so sometimes I only eat one meal a day or I just grab some finger food like one stick of 3 fishballs (no proper meal).

    1. If I am alone, I can easily miss one or two meals. With hubby, I have to think of at least 3 main meals.

  13. I weight the same as before the lock down, but I was aware of what might happen. We go on our walks still. Have to do something.

    The food looks fabulous. I could gain weight just by reading your posts and looking at all the food.

    Have a fabulous day, Nancy. ♥

  14. Both the breakfast plates look so yummy. And your pancake is gorgeous!!! We have a saying here... "The Covid 15". Meaning that most people have gained at least 15 pounds during Covid.

  15. You know, weight is all about the eating and you have access to, and cook, excellent food. If I cooked for you you'd lose lots of weight. (Just kidding)
    Have a great weekend and stay safe.
