Fish Curry & Jui Hu Char For Dinner

More eateries are opening up for dine-in. After the "wait and see" period, many will also be ready to open up for dine-in early next month. But for this particular morning, hubby went out to buy breakfast because I was bored with noodles and wanted to eat oat porridge for a change.

Hubby bought pork noodle and some stuffed items.
This is my oat porridge topped with almond slices, walnut chunks and dried cranberries.
All the other colours periwinkles have disappeared except for this white periwinkles.
~~~~~
Our lunch with breakfast food.
Fried egg and bacon with wholemeal bread for me.
2 half boiled eggs, bacon and bread for hubby.
Periwinkles are self-propagating plants.
~~~~~
It was my sister's birthday. Since there is no birthday gathering, I ordered 2 portions of fish curry and sent one over to my sister for her dinner.
I took out half from my own portion for dinner and kept the other half for next day. This is our favourite fish curry.
Home cooked "jui hu char" which is yam bean (sengkuang), carrots, dried shiitake mushrooms, and dried cuttlefish. I can eat a big plate of this without having any rice.

The following are sunset shots taken outside my house on the 1st Sunday of October.
#1 - Sunset at 7:08pm.

They who dwell at the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;
You make the sunrise and the sunset shout for joy.

  7. I tried cooking my own jiu hu char once but no, we did not like it. We only enjoy cooked sengkuang, what we call mangkuang here, in our traditional nyonya popiah filling.

    The fish curry looks good, can see it is very lemak!!!
