The last stop for our 1 day trip was Gopeng. We wanted to try the cuttlefish with paku pakis (wild fern shoots)
at the Heritage Town Cafe Gopeng.
This is the stall selling the cuttlefish with paku pakis and it also sells blanched cockles.
We were not in a hurry to find a place to sit but were busy checking out the place.
They use old fashioned furniture from yesteryears.
Nope, we didn't sit here.
Not sure whether this jukebox is still in working condition.
Wooden staircase.
Some of us tried out this hopscotch game.
Nope, not me.
A place to have your pictures taken.
3 types of different cold drinks.
2 plates of cuttlefish with paku pakis with generous portion of crushed peanuts and sesame seeds.
Have to move the topping aside to see the pieces of cuttlefish and paku pakis underneath.
Love the blanched fresh and tender paku pakis.
We also want to try the above deep fried sweet potato balls.
Nice paper cup for holding the sweet potato balls.
Time to make our move. Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.
We reached our friend's house at 7:10pm.
Driving home.
Evening sky at 7:15pm.
It was a tiring yet enjoyable trip. Back to home, sweet home.
Linking to Friday Bliss & Skywatch Friday.
I will try to walk a blameless path, but how I need your help,
especially in my own home, where I long to act as I should.
(Psalm 101:2, The Living Bible-TLB)

ReplyDeleteAt the time we were there, there were some other customers. Probably we were early. Probably, there will be more customers after dinner time.
