Penang Esplanade Sea Wall Heritage Trail

We woke up early to get ready for our trip to Penang (2D1N stay).

We started from our house at about 6:35am.
On the highway - 7:30am.
Crossing Penang 1st bridge - about 9am.
Smooth driving all the way except for about 10 minutes delay due to traffic jam caused by an accident.
Our 1st stop in Penang was for breakfast. We each had a bowl of koay teow th'ng. Flat rice noodle in soup with small pieces of duck meat, gizzard and some fish balls.
Next, we visited the waterfront walkway near Padang Kota Lama, Penang.
It was about 11:00am and we were sweating walking under the hot sun.
Can you spot the flying bird in the centre of the picture?
Nice and wide waterfront walkway.

  5. Thank you Nancy for sharing with us the photos of your Penang Esplanade Sea Wall Heritage Trail vacation. The photos are beautifully taken with clear sky and blue sea. So convenient to go pg or kl from Ipoh. Now I am wondering where you all stayed in pg. Will it be the next post?

  8. I really enjoyed the photos you shared of Penang. I had read about it when I was learning about Malaysia, but really enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. You did a great job getting the mural in a moving car, too.

  10. The war memorial is interesting, as I am not informed about most of the conflicts that are listed there (just the World Wars). Looks like a beautiful city.
