After our early morning walk, we had breakfast appointment with friends at Kedai Kopi Tasek Indra in Bercham, Ipoh. It was a Saturday morning but we were early (about 7:30am) so there was no problem getting a table for 6 people.
Hubby had kai si hor fun or shredded chicken flat rice noodle with smoked duck.
I had fish noodle (thick rice vermicelli).
~~~~~
For lunch, hubby and I together with a friend went to Restoran Kar Heng for rice porridge.
While waiting for the porridge to be served, our friend walked over to Restoran Embassy to buy the above sweet cake or Nyonya kuih.
A plate of fried fresh water fish for sharing.
Just a light lunch because we were looking forward to dinner with friends.
~~~~~
We already called Restoran Sun Hung Ting to reserve a table for 8 people.
Even though it was raining heavily that evening, all tables were taken.
We ordered the following dishes.
Signature tofu: fried tofu with topping.
3 flavoured fried (fall off the bone) pork rib.
Tilapia fish (oil soaked style)
Assorted vegetables curry.
We wanted to order grouper fish slices in wine soup but that evening they do not have grouper slices so we ordered free range chicken in wine soup.
~~~~~
Pink Mexican Petunias or Pink Showers from my garden.
I have both pink and purple Mexican Petunias in my garden.
The seeds self disperse and self propagate all over my garden.
Some can be found sharing pots with other plants.
Our earthly fathers trained us for a few brief years,
doing the best for us that they knew how,
but God's correction is always right and for our best good,
that we may share his holiness.
DeleteThank you Nancy for the lovely pink flowers photos and food photos. Love all the dishes at your Dinner At Sun Hung Ting Restaurant, Ipoh especially the tofu. For your breakfast, Kai si hor fun with duck sounds tasty. Like the put chai ko kuih too. Fried fresh water fish for the porridge - does the fried fresh water fish have a bit of muddy taste? I heard most fresh water fish has a bit of muddy taste.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. Usually we don't like fresh water fish because of the muddy taste but surprisingly, the fried fish does not have that taste.
