Pork Noodle, Shredded Chicken Noodle & Blessing From Garden.

No morning walk and no sunrise to share because it was raining in the early morning. So we drove out to our regular coffee shop for breakfast.

Unsweetened milo (milo-O) for me and Chinese tea for hubby.
Pork noodle (yee mee) for hubby.
Shredded chicken noodle (kai si hor fun) for me.
The seller added chicken liver because he thought the noodle was for hubby. I don't like liver, so I passed all the lives pieces to hubby.

Back home in my garden.
I harvested 2 purple brinjals and 1 fig.
I harvest 4 custard apples but threw one away because it was over ripe and had gone mushy.
I also harvested these green brinjals.
I will be sowing some seeds since I have cleared away most of the old plants.
These are the rewards that make my gardening worthwhile.
Sunset at 7:25pm.

 Hallelujah!
O servants of Jehovah, praise his name.
Blessed is his name forever and forever.
Praise him from sunrise to sunset!
For he is high above the nations;
his glory is far greater than the heavens.

Greetings From My Garden

We have mostly cloudy sky and rain for the past 2 days and this morning due to heavy rain, we didn't go for our early morning walk. Once the rain stopped, I went out to the garden to check out my plants.
I found a wild mushroom beside a flower pot.
Flower of the stubby okra plant.
Happy to see these little stubby okras.
 Long purple eggplants
 Daikon or white radish.
The last harvest and will take a rest before planting these again.
Purple custard apple aka sugar apple.
The birds were eating this fig before I went into the garden.
Might as well leave it to them to enjoy.
This fig was half gone and now I have to wrap my figs in transparent plastic.
I used plastic which makes it easier for me to check on the figs.
I managed to harvest a few of my figs.
With the birds eyeing my figs, I cannot leave the figs to ripen on the plant.
Once the green fig turns light yellow, it is time to harvest.
Both the birds and I are keeping a close watch on these figs.
 Blue plumbago
When exposed to the hot sun, the blue is a lighter shade.
 Miniature hibiscus.
Purple Mexican Petunias aka Purple Shower".

So overflowing is his kindness toward us that he took away
all our sins through the blood of his Son, by whom we are saved;
and he has showered down upon us the richness of his grace -
for how well he understands us and know what is best for us at all times.

Thank God For Providing Good & Tasty Food

We woke up to another beautiful morning and we were ready for our early morning walk at the park.
 Morning sky at 6:35 am.
The newly installed spotlights (from the left and other places) help to light up the walking path.
Early walkers get to enjoy the cool fresh air at the park - 6:50 am

The shop we went to for breakfast was closed that morning.
So we ended up in Taman Mirindy for the "kai si hor fun" noodle.
2 bowls of "kai si hor fun" or flat rice noodle with chicken meat strips, prawns, and chives. We have to wait more than half an hour for these noodles even on a Friday morning.
I also ordered 4 Fuzhou fish balls with minced pork filling.
Hubby ordered 2 pieces of steamed yam bean dumplings or "choy kok".
Some of the harvest from my garden.
Purple Custard Apple fruit. Other names are Sweet Apple or Sweetsop.
From the look of these knobbly segments, the fruit is ready to be plucked. Once the fruit is slightly soft, it can be consumed.
This is how the fruit looks like inside. Most of the white fleshly segments have a black seed inside.
I found some left over glutinous rice sweet cake (ready cut) and I used it to fry with egg and flour batter. We ate this for lunch.

My brinjal or eggplants are not fruiting yet, so I bought some for dinner from the road side stall at the park.
I peeled the skin off the eggplants and steamed them. I drizzled some garlic oil, scallop sauce and soy sauce over the eggplant before serving.
Stuffed white bitter melon or bitter gourd (harvested from my garden) with fish paste and minced pork. These 2 dishes were enough for our dinner without eating any rice.

Do you want to be truly rich?
You already are if you are happy and good. After all,
we didn't bring any money with us when we came into the world,
and we can't carry away a single penny when we die.
So we should be well satisfied without money
if we have enough food and clothing.

Custard Apples & Little Critters.

After I have harvest the first 2 fruits from my Custard Apple plant, I trimmed off all the branches. Even though it was planted in a big pot, it grew tall. To control its height, I cut and shortened the plant.
Very soon new branches started to grow and once again it was covered with lush leaves.
Then followed by many small buds.
Hopefully, some of these will not drop but will turn into fruits.
Ahh! I caught sight of one small fruit here!
And another 2 fruits further up!
After some time, it grew to this size.
Another one up here!
Keeping a look out. This one is going to ripen anytime now.
So is this one!
I received some baby Adenium plants from a friend.
These are all grown from seeds.

The following photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
This week the focus will be on these tiny critters.
A baby grasshopper on my garden fence.
Another grasshopper clinging onto my papaya tree trunk.
A baby dragonfly on the side wall.
This butterfly came into my hall and landed on the floor.
We were in a car show room looking at some new cars. Spotted this lizard on a brand new red car. It too wanted to show off its beauty!

yet it is found in kings' palaces.
