Pineapple & Mantis Prawn Fried Rice For Dinner

It was still dark when we started out on our morning walk. The moon can be seen clearly above us.

When I took this snapshot of the moon at 6:33am, it was partially concealed by the dark cloud.
On our way home, I stopped to take a snapshot of this multi layered petals pink hibiscus by the roadside.
~~~~~
I don't know what to do with the last packet of frozen mantis prawns. I was thinking of frying pineapple rice for dinner and adding the mantis prawns to the fried rice seemed a good idea.
Pineapple fried rice with mantis prawns.
Ingredients used: cooked rice, mantis prawns, pineapple chunks, egg, bird's eye chilies, big onions, minced garlic, tom yum paste, fish sauce, salt & sugar to taste. I also added in raisins and toasted cashew nuts.
Blanched home grown sweet potato leaves and okra, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster & soy sauce.
Delicious and satisfying dinner for 2 retirees.
- same as above -
I haven't re-visited this place so I don't know if this place is still open for public viewing.
Shout for joy before the Lord, O earth!
Obey him gladly; come before him, singing with joy.
Try to realize what this means - the Lord is God!
He made us - we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Go through his open gates with great thanksgiving;
enter his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and bless his name.
For the Lord is always good.
He is always loving and kind, and his faithfulness
goes on and on to each succeeding generation.
Kam Heong Mantis Prawns & Salted Egg Yolk Mantis Prawns
I have 2 packets of frozen mantis prawns in my freezer. I took out a packet of frozen mantis prawns to thaw. I washed and marinated the mantis prawns with some sugar, salt and pepper. Then I coated them with equal portion of tapioca flour and wheat flour mixture. After I had deep fried the mantis prawns, I saw that the amount was too much for 1 meal so I kept half for the next day's dinner.
Dinner #1
Kam Heong Mantis Prawns (Golden Fragrance Mantis Prawns)
Blanched glass lettuce.
Steamed home grown long beans and topped with leftover roast pork from the previous day's dinner.
We had steamed rice for dinner.
This is the 2nd green eggplant from my garden.
This lone green eggplant started to grow long.
It grew to almost a foot and I was eager to harvest it.
That morning I harvest 1 long green eggplant and 1 long green okra.
Dinner #2
I steamed the green eggplant, green okra together with some home grown long beans. I topped with garlic oil and sambal dried prawn.
Salted egg yolk mantis prawns.
(with the 2nd portion of deep fried mantis prawns)
This bowl of chicken and scallop rice porridge was given by a friend. Hubby had the porridge.
I told hubby I missed eating instant noodle, so I cooked instant noodle to eat for dinner together with the dishes.
I will go before you and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.
I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places.
so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
then we have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other,
Foodie Adventure With Friends From Far And Near
On the 25th, the last Saturday of November, we have friends from another state visiting us. We were informed that they wanted to have dinner at Restoran Peng Yew in Lawan Kuda which is about 30 minutes drive from Ipoh. Once confirmed, hubby called to book a place and also the "san yu" fish. At certain times, the place can get very crowded, so it is better to reserved a table for 7 people. We have to travel in 2 cars.
We started from Ipoh at 5.30 pm.
Waiting at the traffic light...
Drunken "San Yu" Fish Soup
Our friends who reached earlier ordered the food and we needn't have to wait long to be served our dinner. Surprisingly, it was very quiet and not crowded at all.
The meat from the "San Yu" fish used for stir fry with spring onions and ginger. The texture very tender, cooked just right!
Stir fry celery
Sambal stinky beans.
Crunchy deep fried mantis prawns
Spicy and savoury pig's intestine, not everyone's kind of food.
I didn't touch this dish and half was left untouched.
The night was still young. After returning to Ipoh from Lawan Kuda, we went to have some beer and more chatting. We were seated opposite the Ho Yan Hor and Han Chin Pek Soo Museums. Later, we parted for the night and planned to meet up again the next day.
The next morning, hubby and I attended church.
Received a message to meet up for Assam Laksa lunch at Falim.
It was a nice cool day, perfect to enjoy some Assam Laksa.
Four bowls of Assam Laksa noodles and some fried goodies to be shared by 7 people.
Yes, dear friends, we are already God's children, right now,
and we can't even imagine what it is going to be like later on.
But we do know this, that when he comes we will be like him,
as a result of seeing him as he really is.
Cameron Highlands BOH Tea Centre And Dinner At Likarli Restaurant, Ipoh
Today will be the last posting on our short holiday in Cameron Highland. After checking out from the apartment, we drove to the Sungai Palas BOH Tea Centre and Factory for a short visit.
 The road is narrow and winding.
  As we approached every sharp corner, the driver has to sound the horn to warn oncoming car from the opposite direction.
 We saw some workers trimming the hedges at the edge of the road.
 The centre and factory is open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
It is closed on Mondays.
Visitors have to leave their vehicles at the public car park and walk up the slopes to the centre.
 Pretty flowers in front of the centre.
Has anyone tasted these interesting items?
Cendol Cheese Cake & Nasi Lemak Cheese Cake!
 We ordered tea and strawberry tart to try while we enjoyed the cool air.
And also enjoy the mountain covered with tea plants.
Later, visitors will walk down this path with steps to the public car park. We chose to walk down the tar road. From the tea centre, we drove on and then stopped at the Last Stop!
 These are the Cameron Apples.
Flowers of Cameron Apples. A friend took this snapshot.
 Looks nice but I again missed buying some to try.
I will have to wait for the next trip to taste these Cameron apples.
 Green Passion fruits.
We timed our journey to reach the lowland in time for dinner at Likarli Restaurant in Bandar Siber, Ipoh.
 Steamed Red Tilapia with savoury sauce.
