Breakfast At Kedai Mi Cong Yin, Ipoh Garden South.

We had a breakfast appointment with a friend on a Saturday morning, 2 weeks ago. Hubby and I picked up this friend just before 9 am and we drove to Ipoh Garden South. There is a lot of choices in Ipoh Garden South and I had no idea where hubby was taking us to. It was only when we reached the place, only then I knew what we were going to eat. Pork noodles at Kedai Mi Cong Yin!
This is my bowl of Pork Noodles @ MYR 8.00
I ordered mee sua (soft wheat noodles) but I forgot to request for meat only without the internal organs. All that were passed over to hubby.
And I ordered something that I like very much.
Water chestnut with egg sweet drink.
Kedai Mi Cong Yin at Lebuh Taman Ipoh,
Taman Ipoh Selatan.
After breakfast, we played tourist guide and took our friend who just came back from oversea to visit the Concubine Lane in Ipoh old town.
We passed by this lane with umbrellas hanging overhead. The colours of the umbrellas have faded. They were not as attractive as when they were new.
Found this toy and miscellaneous stall along Concubine Lane.
I got attracted to these toys made with springs.
People are created by their Creator to be creative!
Spring Robot.
This stall selling fried Chinese chestnuts is no longer using the metal ladle to stir the chest.
They have invented a gadget to stir fry the Chinese chestnuts with black pebbles without human hands.
Old fashioned sliding wooden grille door at one of the shops.
The old shop renovated to look new.
There are a lot of activities going on at this part of town e.g. team building, treasure hunts, etc.
We saw this eye-catching motorbike with lots of small watches/clocks glued to its body.
We didn't see the owner, so we quickly took a few shots and moved on.
Its marvelous how people are never lacking in interesting ideas.

Linking to Tuesday's Treasure.

For the Preacher was not only a wise man but a good teacher;
he not only taught what he knew to the people,
but taught them in an interesting manner.
The wise man's words are like goads that spur to action.
They nail down important truths.
Students are wise who master what their teachers tell them.

  18. I love the Spring Robot! I bet he costs a LOT. YES! One way we are like our creator is that he made us creative like Him. What a very cool motorcycle!! I wonder how the owner got this idea? Time must be very important to him! Though faded, the street of umbrellas is still so pretty!

Frying chestnuts used to be such a labourious task. Good invention! I thought those black things were charcoal bits.
