We read about this restaurant written in an article and we were curious to try the food. This restaurant serves 3 types of meat i.e. roasted duck, chicken, pork, and bbq pork. You can order the meat to eat with rice or noodle. As usual, we wanted to try a bit of everything.
We ordered a mixed plate of bbq pork, roast pork, chicken & duck for 4 people. These were served with 2 types of dipping sauce.
Plain noodle with a bit of greens to go with the meat.
The noodle tastes good.
Nice minced pork wontons.
We ordered 4 baked "Suet San" pork buns (snow mountain buns).
These are special pork buns, different from the usual pork buns.
We also ordered 4 Baked Australian Cheese Tarts.
We have mixed reviews about these tarts. Some of us do not like the soft creamy texture of the filling. For me, I don't mind the creamy texture.
You take a bite and the creamy cheese filling flows out.
4 types of meat on the wall.
Snow mountain pork buns and cheese tarts.
Types of noodles on the wall.
They also served the rice and noodles in different versions.
For noodles, they have the dry and soup versions.

The following photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
Fido, my hairdresser's pet dog.
He has moods. Sometimes he will greet me with barks.
At other times, he can be very friendly.
At other times, he can be very friendly.
One morning, we were following behind this car and this cheeky kitty was sticking its tongue at us. The owner of the car painted the wiper to look like the cat's tail. It would be fun to see the kitty moving its tail.
A friend passed us some peacock fishes. These are mostly female fishes and we have never seen such big peacock fishes. These are well fed fishes.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
But for you who revere my name,
the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays.
And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
(Malachi 4:2, New International Version-NIV)
What a feast. I'm hungry now.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend, Nancy. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a wonderful new week!
DeleteHello, the cheese tarts look yummy. The dog is adorable, I am sure it is friendly too. Glad the fishes are doing well. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Thanks also for the comment on my post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen! Have a happy new week!
DeleteCheese tarts look good to me, but we are used to soft fillings in cream pies.
ReplyDeleteThat kitty on the back of the car is very funny!
Most of us are used to the firmer filling. This is really soft, but I didn't mind as long as it tastes good.
DeleteFido is adorable on that couch! And he looks so well behaved! I bet the customers give him treats. I have never heard of rainbow fish! OH, the place looks so yummy, all of it!! The most delicious you have posted. Especially the noodle plate and the meat plate. The cat and tail is awesome! If I had any talent at all, I would do this to our car! Oh, wait, we don't have a back wiper.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny! We don't have a back wiper too, so we can't do the cat tail.
Delete...pretty neat kitty!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom!

DeleteThe suet san bun looks like those tim ho wan BBQ buns! The cheese tarts fillings look quite gooey. How does it compare to those popular cheese tarts in KL?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. The BBQ suet san bun is yummy. Different cheese tarts have their own individual taste, it will depends on the individual.
DeleteThis place may not be near where I stay, but from your blog, it has inspired me to pay a visit there soon. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome! Just enjoy the leisure drive there to taste for your self. Few shops away there is the 101 Ban Mee.

DeleteDon't know why my comments keep disappearing nowadays, maybe they have gone into your spam folder.
ReplyDeleteSo cute lah the dog.
I like the meat you had but would prefer to have them with rice.
Oh, so sorry about your missing comments. I have checked the spam folder and they are not there.
DeleteTotally admiring the pork buns - it looks different. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pork buns taste good.
DeleteWhat an adorable pup!
ReplyDeleteThank you, William!
DeleteQuite a strange mix - those roast meat and noodles are normally in one world, the snow mountain and cheese tarts in another!
ReplyDeleteI suppose the current trend is going fusion.
