Dinner On Eve Of Polling Day & My Kitchen Timer.

Eve of polling day - 08.05.2018
Our elder son came back early yesterday morning and brought back a Gouper fish head and we took it to a nearby restaurant. We requested the restaurant to use the fish head to cook curry.
 Grouper fish head curry.
Sauteed baby French beans with garlic.
Deep fried pork belly with fermented bean curd (nam yee).
Chilli sauce as dipping sauce for the deep fried pork belly.
Dinner for 3 people only because younger son not home yet.
Younger son took 5 hours to drive back from Kuala Lumpur after work, joining many others returning home to caste their votes.

Today is our nation's polling day - 09.05.2018.
As usual woke up early. While waiting for the others to get ready to go out for breakfast, I watered my plants. After breakfast we went straight to the polling centre. Many were there before us and we had to join the long queue.
Done! This is proof that I have voted!
I wanted to steam some corn for lunch but my faithful kitchen timer (above) chose to retire today.
I started searching in my store room for a spare kitchen timer. This was given free when I visited a household products expo.
A pink bunny with long ears!
I have to turn the bottom half to start the timer.

  1. Good that you and your family have voted! Oh, your pink rose is so pretty and so are the other two flowers. I can never spell the flower that starts with "b" (last pic). LOL!

    1. All voters have to have their finger dipped in indelible ink to prevent double voting.

  10. What a cute bunny timer! I have an owl one, and one like yours that broke. Here, we cannot bring food for restaurants to cook. So did they give you a discount because you brought the fish?
